If this actually sells, I'm going to start selling used toilet paper in protective cases...

Why are these selling this high?  This isn't the rarer version and it's like the 3rd one I've seen sell in the $25.00 range..............

Hmmm, I seem to see more of the "Winter 2010" than the "February 2010" available on eBay... What is the source of the two variations?

Spending ~$30 on even the more rare variation seems a bit NUTS to me.

Curious: were the three of these always won with just one bid?

I would consider buying this item for $3, just to see your used tp auction!  ;D

The original ones were the "winter" variation and were quickly changed to "February".  The "Winter" ones were handed-out at the 2009 Fall Philly Show, but all after that were changed to "February 2010".  The "Winter" ones have always been very common.  I think I had a stack of @ 20 of them at one point because Topps was throwing them in with various online items.

I thought the 'Winter' version was the tougher one.  I know I have extras of the February version.  And, although the winter version was originally from a Philly show, I didn't specify origins in the postcard master list because I received one of that version in an order from Topps.

The Winter is the tougher variation. I have a few Feb. ones but I had to pay some bucks for the Winter card.

And it's a sticker, whereas the promos with Winter and February reverses are cards.

Look at that, it's right there in Pat's amazing master list thread. I wonder if we should add rare and common to each item?

Just checked my Croca Cola's. Have 2 w/promo backs w/o Feb on the fronts and 1 blank back w/coming Feb on front, no winters.

Just saw these on eBay:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/wacky-pack-Senior-Mints-card-32-/270992411990?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f18680d56#ht_500wt_1218 , are these two used ANS2 stickers someone mistakenly thinks are worth $40 or $50?

There's also a re-stuck (?) Paul Mall going for $4.99: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WACKY-CARD-PAUL-MAUL-NICE-CARD-/160817374444?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25717664ec#ht_500wt_985 soon to be followed by 200 more cards ... guess even some "top rated" sellers don't know what they're selling?

This doesn't really qualify for this thread in the strictest sense, but is it me or my monitor or does it look like the yellowest, smudgiest PSA 8 ever? I think mine would be at least an 11, then...lol.

It is too bad PSA makes no allowances for eye appeal. Some of the 1st series PSAs can be very yellow too. The 4th, 5th & 6th can have very ugly spotting/tanning and that also has no effect on the grade. Sometimes it's hard to tell from the auction pictures how bad it is until you see it in person.

It's very hard to tell from scans through the holders. It could be shadows and such. It does look a bit yellow but it could be the scanner.

Good rule of thumb...contrast against the PSA boarder.   This is the PSA i have my eye on...or is it i just cant see through the smoke?

Wow, the smoke must of came right out of the card itself. A true Viginia Slum. The white boarder looks to be, not so white anymore. Mine must be at least a PSA 14 and it's not perfect by all means. I don't know, maybe the seller tried to take the worst possible picture? That PSA boarder is at least 20 shades whiteter, whiter? whiteier?

This is not nuts, just don't know where else to post it. I know there aren't too many wrapper completists out there, but these 11th series yellow wrappers are difficult to find in nice shape. Somebody snap them up!

Tedjeffrey keeps listing more and more of these 11th yellow wrappers. Before the last year or two they were very difficult to find in high grade. Just a guess, but my spidey sense tells me that a certain well-heeled collector has been opening 11th yellow packs (the ones that originated from Greg Schwartz) to submit singles to PSA. So these may not be that rare anymore, but it's certainly a good time to pick them up!

How many packs do you think were available for cracking? I think this lot of wrappers wasn't in as nice shape. At least 2 of the 4 had tears.

I'm not sure. There were 48 11th yellow packs to start with, but I'm not sure how many he ended up with. I do think some others were sold on ebay individually before he bought what was left.

Hi Dave,

I consigned those 11th wrappers through TedJeffrey.  I bought them off a fellow collector who had opened them as a child.  Most are in nice shape, but a few have tears.

I guess my Spidey senses are off this week! Thanks for the info. While nothing super-major, still a pretty cool find.
