eBay auction: #160809834033Comes in a protective case! Nuff said!
Looks like it was way too late.
Why are these selling this high? This isn't the rarer version and it's like the 3rd one I've seen sell in the $25.00 range..............
If this actually sells, I'm going to start selling used toilet paper in protective cases...
Hmmm, I seem to see more of the "Winter 2010" than the "February 2010" available on eBay... What is the source of the two variations?
The original ones were the "winter" variation and were quickly changed to "February". The "Winter" ones were handed-out at the 2009 Fall Philly Show, but all after that were changed to "February 2010". The "Winter" ones have always been very common. I think I had a stack of @ 20 of them at one point because Topps was throwing them in with various online items.
I thought the 'Winter' version was the tougher one. I know I have extras of the February version. And, although the winter version was originally from a Philly show, I didn't specify origins in the postcard master list because I received one of that version in an order from Topps.
Damn it, now I gotta check if mines is Winter or February.
Or the blank back variation.
I thought there were at least three variations, possibly four?
My recollection is there are three.
There are 3. The one not mentioned is the blank back with feb on the front.
That's right, and that one is die-cut unlike the other two.
Now the blank back must be HTF.
And it's a sticker, whereas the promos with Winter and February reverses are cards.
No, you can get them pretty cheap on ebay. I don't have any extras though.
There's also a re-stuck (?) Paul Mall going for $4.99:
they're right - it would be hard to find another one like it!
This doesn't really qualify for this thread in the strictest sense, but is it me or my monitor or does it look like the yellowest, smudgiest PSA 8 ever? I think mine would be at least an 11, then...lol.http://www.ebay.com/itm/280903451109
Good rule of thumb...contrast against the PSA boarder. This is the PSA i have my eye on...or is it i just cant see through the smoke?http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Topps-Wacky-Packages-6th-Series-6-Virgina-Slums-PSA-9-MINT-/380374674443?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item589018ec0b
This is not nuts, just don't know where else to post it. I know there aren't too many wrapper completists out there, but these 11th series yellow wrappers are difficult to find in nice shape. Somebody snap them up!
Tedjeffrey keeps listing more and more of these 11th yellow wrappers. Before the last year or two they were very difficult to find in high grade. Just a guess, but my spidey sense tells me that a certain well-heeled collector has been opening 11th yellow packs (the ones that originated from Greg Schwartz) to submit singles to PSA. So these may not be that rare anymore, but it's certainly a good time to pick them up!http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-5-Topps-Wacky-Packages-11th-14th-Series-SET-of-ALL-3-WAX-PACK-WRAPPERS-85-/160829970391?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25723697d7
How many packs do you think were available for cracking? I think this lot of wrappers wasn't in as nice shape. At least 2 of the 4 had tears.
Hi Dave,I consigned those 11th wrappers through TedJeffrey. I bought them off a fellow collector who had opened them as a child. Most are in nice shape, but a few have tears.
