Is this legit or, as I suspect, counterfeit?

In that awful condition, I'd vote for legit.

I think these are cut from the proof sheets that were found in the closed Zabel Bros. printing plant back in the late 1990’s. There were a ton of uncut proofs of cards, boxes, etc. in their files. That was also where the pallet of uncut 1979 sheets came from.

Interesting, that could be true. Hard to tell.

Do we have a list of eBay accounts that Matt Stock uses? I feel like rare stuff that suddenly shows up on eBay is often manufactured like the whole Lost Wacky stuff he does. I'd like to know who to be wary of.

I don’t search eBay for vintage Wacky stuff all that often these days, but I do remember he switched from ‘makeminemarvel’ or something like that, to ‘kaneandromita’, or something similar.  He’s a big comics and original comic art guy, and Gil Kane and John Romita Sr. are two of the prominent Spider-Man artists from the Silver & Bronze Age eras of Marvel Comics.  No idea whether he uses other IDs, but there are not many Wacky die-hards living in New York City like he does, so checking seller’s location for an item of interest is another way to check.  If you get that location and then checking ‘seller’s other items’ shows extensive listings of vintage and rarities, chances are it’s him.

Considering the vast number of Lost Wacky Variation cards this seller has listed, I would say it is him.

For me, it is easy to find him, I try to bid on his auctions and I get the notice I am blocked....from a seller in NY...equals Matt. This is Matt.  I have some uncut puzzle sheets too like this.  Will be part of my next purge of wackys in the next year or so.

I hardly bid on ebay any more so this might be a stupid question as i dont track bidding any more but how are there 4 bids all at $1500 from two bidders?
I saw that as well.  I am not sure how that is possible/
Still looking for Series 17

What happened is both bidders used a sniping service and both had a max bid of $1500. The sniping service will frequently put your bid in from multiple servers for redundancy and ebay determines the winner by who bid first when the max bids are the same. That's how that bidding pattern can happen.

Are there any in this lot worth a dollar? Not to mention apparently all stickers are from 1967.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/185420825417

Pupsi carries a fair premium, and KFF a small premium as well.

Oooh!   And there is the rare "black slash" Kleenaxe variation!    >:D

Not sure where the other $3,480.00 comes from.

Simply from the fact that you "Get All Seen."  It lets you know it's not like those commercials for children's toys where each item is sold separately.

I want to know what this idiot smokes. His prices are friggin stupid on everything he "tries" to sell.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/235715008228

That's a consignment service, so I'm guessing that the seller sets the price.  I've not bought any Wacky Packages from them, but for sports cards they typically list multiples of the same item with differing conditions.  They also always charge $4.95 for shipping.

I'm curious what is so bad about this sticker to make it a PSA 1?

Surely he didn't stamp his logo directly on the card? I've never seen a Poor-1 on a common card before.

The proof sheet images I've found showed the numbering and text printed on the backs.

I noticed that this thread surpassed a million views a while back, the first thread on the forum to hit that mark. And it should keep on giving for the foreseeable future.

looks like it's been in someone's wallet or back pocket since 1967.

MAY be a candidate for a homemade magnet, punched, but not even at the price being asked.

Pretty sure based on what I can see of the top cut, that this is not a tan 1st series but a Wonderbread  issue.  (I will admit that I can't blow up the picture that much, but it does not have the curve at the top)
