I haven't spoken to my mom since I found out she threw away my childhood collection 30 years ago.  It's taken longer than I thought to recover.

My mom almost did the same thing when I was at college. I had most of the Series 3 through Series 16 that I had collected when they first came out. Luckily, when she cleaned my room, she threw all the stuff she intended to toss out on the bed and gave me a chance to look through it first. Phew!

I do see and speak to my mom regularly, but she really did throw out my childhood collection!

If that is your mother in that picture can I have her phone #?

I bought my first couple of packs of erasers yesterday. I got in my first pack a rare one! This is a nice filler set between series 7 and series 8!

I don't think my wife will go for that excuse.

I went to a Target today and they did have erasers but they were ringing up for $2.99 a pack now.  I wonder if that means all Targets are now charging the full price?

I just bought some at a Target near me (one I hadn't gone to before) an hour ago and they still rang up at 1.99.

All of you guys(girls) got to me talking about all this new stuff.

I went to a Toys R Us and picked up one of those Eraser packs with 3 visible and 3 mystery(@$6.99).

Now I feel like I have gravitated somewhat closer to the rest of the posters on the forum. I gotta say, I am probably going to stay in the past(70's) but may buy a new thing once in-awhile.

Thanks for teaching me about the present and future.

Me too.  I will have to check a few more stores.  We have around 6 Targets within maybe 25 miles of where I live.

I must say these are cool but anybody that spends over $40 on these gets a raised eyebrow.

Yeah, I've already spent about $20 on the erasers and still have less than half the set!

I'm just buying a couple packs a week from the Wal-Mart in my area... I bought three more packs today and now have 13 of the 24 plus two dupes. I'll likely buy a couple more packs in the coming weeks until I get 18 to 20 of the titles, then trade the dupes I have for the rest.

That's a tough sell..literally if you want to get the whole set...especially the "so called" RARE ones...your right in a pragmatic way...

Coincidentally, Jean Nutty and I were PMing about display cases and shadow boxes. He suggested there should be a topic for people to show pictures of how they display their collections. Seems this would be an excellent start.

Very nice! That case is perfect for displaying the erasers. Is it a production piece? if so who makes them?

No I didn't mount them. they will move around, but I did put a piece of bubble wrap under the tray where the glass top helps hold just enough that the small round erasers won't move.

Here's another display I'm considering. 4 1/2 inch long miniature shopping carts. They're in perfect scale with the erasers.

Thanks for posting your pic and link.  These look quite cool and perfect for the erasers.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to the auction from your link.  Can you either try again or just post the seller's name?  Thanks!

Can anyone help with a few eraser needs of mine?

I'm looking for two (2) Mice Krispies, and one each of Ditz and Slacker Jack.

I have many extras of most of the titles, or just plain purchase, whatever suits you best!

Thanks!

hey - guess what finally, finally freakin showed up in the previews shipping for this week...
Yep. Erasers.
Guess we'll find out if there is a 'hobby' version of the wrappers or boxes, or if it's just the same feed as at target or walmart.
