...done by Dan Thompson, this could have been a Wacky Packages take on The Little Prince book (Would Mark "Off the Mark" Parisi have thought of it first?):

Ha! Those are paper samples given out to printers and graphic designers to promote their lines of paper. French is famous for doing fun and unusual samples. They would hire the hot designer or illustrators of the time to do the artwork. I used to have a whole bunch of their samples but lost them in various moves. I don't remember this sample though.

Here are some of the current designs on their website...

I have quite a few of those posters, among other promo materials for French Paper, that I picked up years ago from paper shows. Charles S Anderson is one of my favorite graphic designers. He really mastered the neo-retro design style.

So, are they considered, "Wacky Packages related" collectables by this community, like Mr. Foney's Funnys, the Mad Magazine product parodies, and Kooky patches?  $600 seems like a lot if these are just standard samples, but maybe those particular designs are rare.  Never seen them before, though.

Don't forget the former Marvel comics published MAD Magazine clone Crazy Magazine in a 1981 issue offered a FULL COLOR LOONEY LABELS lick and stick insert.

I don't collect them and I collect MANY parody and satire items.I haven't run across anyone else that does either.
