Hello Flesh, planned for July but bumped in favor of a Burger King spoof, is on the August 2022 Wacky Checklist.

Also: August 2022 has a Star Trek/Cap'n Crunch mash up Wacky Packages style.

And what will "Split Peas" spoof?

It's actually Lizzy's Split Peas. Not sure why they left that name off:

And for August 2022, "Nessie" is another Nestle spoof or maybe a Nestea spoof.

Are these just rough images until the final artwork is completed? If not....yikes!
No offense to the illustrators, but these are getting a bit crude for my tastes.

August sales complete- no sales number posted

No sales listed in the Archive for July either. I think Topps’ system to update card sets post sale is broken.

Below is the email I just sent Topps.  Sad.

Still waiting on my replacement set from the APRIL set. Totally unacceptable.  Not buying Wackies anymore and letting the Wacky Community know Topps can not
deliver what is promised. I spent $65 on this set back in April. You took 3 months to send the cards and then shorted me ALL The CHASE Cards. Now you can't
seem to send the replacement for the replacement set.  Not okay.

447 sales for August. The artwork is a problem for some that they are correcting going forward.

Now that we are on a roll with Topps complaints - I really wish I could use my saved up Rewards Points on everything, not just isolated to Topps Now products.

Is there still the sticker material shortage? I take it nobody got shipping notice for the July sets.

I’ll guess that they used it all up with the GPK Bookworms release last month, which was a massive release, and are waiting for restock.

The crazy bit is that to get Bookworms out, they ended up using two different sticker stocks, regular and thin, and full sets of each side by side are radically different heights.

What variations?

I think in 2023 the Wacky Packages series could go bi-monthly instead of monthly.

While we wait for the September 14, 2022 pre order launch date of the September 2022 Wacky Packages set, no word on shipping notices for the July 2022 and/or August 2022 Wacky sets yet?

At this pace, the theme of the September sketches should be Thanksgiving, or maybe even Christmas.

I know I’ve commented in the past on the ridiculosity of the shipping delays, but are there also production-related issues that delay shipments from going out in the first place, like not actually printing up the cards or having the artists do their sketch cards until the final sales figures are in?  That would at least be more understandable, like a Kickstarter business model.

Great stuff, but where’s the gray matter?  It’s like these blue and green guys don’t even know they’ve lost their minds!

I guess there would be no G-rated way to depict minds being blown, and to your point, that gray matter is already conveniently packaged for single-serving consumption.

There have been past conversation threads on the notion of some specific Wackys having a frightening or traumatizing effect on our young minds back in the day, and I weighed in on several, remembering very well of having had that feeling myself.  Thankfully I missed Hostile Thinkies until it was reissued in 1979 when I could better handle it.  If I had seen those brains in the 1974 release I think it might have scared me more than the others I mentioned.

Are any of you guys who pre-sold the July sets on eBay getting complaints from the buyers about the delay?

Or maybe there's currently a work shortage at Topps.

Have these gone live?  I've not found a link for them on Topps' site.
