Yes, Muller! It was the way the character leaned over the label but was also inside the bottle. I don't remember how young I was, but I remember staring at it trying to figure out how that was supposed to work.

Patrick, I'll send you the set.

Maybe he's not really in the bottle, but the label stuck him to the outside of the bottle.  I can't say I've ever really wondered about this one.

Now I'll give out a Series #2 set.

As a kid, on which non-repeat die-cut did I read the tag line and think, "Well, that's not technically what's happening."

You can see the glass reflection in front of his hat which is a giveaway that he's not part of the label. He's also causing bubbles inside the beer. You can see the shadow under his right shoe as it definitely looks like he's standing inside the bottle. Weirdly, the M on the label is over is arm. It all confused me as a kid, but now I just chalk it up to artistic license and I like what was done.

Here is a MAD Magazine cover that fascinated me as 12 year old kid in much the same fashion:

That was fast! Yes, I remember thinking he's not splitting peas, he's squashing them. Kids can be so pedantic. I was probably 6 or 7.

PM me your address and I'll get the set out!

Mark, could you please tell me the dates of release for the Off the Mark comic strips in this series?

And it looks like the four-card puzzle is a Sunday comic strip instead of a daily one. Is it?

ooh, thanks so much!

yes, that character and label are messed up. The right arm looks really strange and goes underneath the Muller logo too.

Thanks a lot! A little overkill here, though, if you ask me. I was only looking for the dates for the two puzzles and bonus cards B2-B11.

You forgot one bonus card, though - B10, Newman Dressing. Once I have that one, it'll be done. Thanks again!

Ah. When you said "could you please tell me the dates of release for the Off the Mark comic strips in this series" you didn't specify bonus cards and puzzles, so I thought you wanted the date of every image that appeared in the comic.

2004-04-13NewmanDressing

For future reference, you can also try searching at www.offthemark.com

You're right, Mark, that was my fault. I should've been more specific in this case.
