Here's my first card back since two months I think: Mr. Goonbar (from one of my roughs back in 2006 for ANS)

absolutely!
I checked again today and delivery for both sets just slipped later by 3 full days! This'll make it two full weeks since they were dropped off by Topps. It used to only take 3-4 days.

I checked it out on lostwackys.com; it's ANS5, right?

If one looks in the trading post thread, everybody needs that card.

It defies the odds......
yes, it does defy the odds seeing just how many of us need the #9 Marathing Ludlow.

So I gotta ask - does anyone actually have this card?

Not me, but several people have asked me for it.

Not me, but several people have asked me for it.

I don't even show that any have sold on eBay which seems really odd. That was a terrible collation week for me. I had purchased 11 sets and 8 of them had ludlow backs but  Marathing was not one of them. You think, possibly, Topps omitted it?

yes, that's what I'm wondering. None on ebay, and all of us have it on out Want Lists? Very SUS!

Either Topps omitted it or found out near the end of the order compiling that there was a pile of unused Marathing Ludlows and put them all in just a few people's orders. That's what I was trying to allude to in my post with the sarcasm.

So possibilities include:

I. Omission (not manufactured)
    i. Intentional
    ii. Accidental
II. Damaged during production or didn't meet quality
     control standards and pulled
III. Poor collation
      i. Never seeded
      ii. Extremely unbalanced seeding

Any other theories?

Can anyone with Topps connections confirm or deny the existence or non-existence of this card and shed some light on what went wrong...

My call would be accidental omission.
It’s all PoD and probably highly automated based on input files that specify how much of everything to print. If it was left out of the ludlow list somehow, the other four just get printed more to fill up the need.

But the average is the lowest it has ever been now - 777.  It's looking like an exponential decay.

Would be interesting to see a moving average using just the prior 6-8 weeks? Would get rid of the early spikes for the later weeks

December week 1

Guest artist. Chris Mason

https://www.topps.com/cards-collectibles/online-brands/2020-topps-wacky-packages-weekly-series-december-week-1.html

Just noticed they are all Christmas related. The Santa on Jolly Prancer looks Garfield-ish (Garfield is a comic strip cat). And a Frosted Flakes spoof with Rankin-Bass Frosty the Snowman in place of Tony the Tiger?

Are we going to expect anytime in the next 3-4 December weeks maybe a Wacky Packages takeoff of the A Charlie Brown Christmas DVD/Blu-Ray and/or anything Sonic the Hedgehog related?

The frosty the snowman flakes is cute as it it nasty. Hey how about a spoof of Paul Dini's Jingle Belle or a wacky about the miser bros.?

A gentle reminder that not everyone celebrates Xmas. Could go for a nice blue and white themed card. ;-)

I actually like this week's offering. I've skipped a few weeks, but maybe I'll start up again for just one or two sets.

Finally received October week 3, and it's the worst collation yet for me.
Far more GA than Wonkys. And of course, not only were all the GAs paired with a Ludlow, but one of the Wonkys was paired with one as well.
And to top it off, one set was short a base card, and had an extra Ludlow in its place.
Swimming in ludlows!
Where's my coupons???

That's terrible.

I've gotten 7 ludlows and 3 coupons several times with a 10 set purchase, but have never had a worse than a 6/4 Wonky to Guest Artist.

Same thing happened to me. I agree worst ever. Why do we keep buying 10 sets to only get 3 coupons and the ludlows? Between Oct. week 3 and 4 I only got 6 of the 10 coupons.

The words uptick, bump, spike, and surge should not be used to describe data fluctuations ever again  :-X

November week 4 sales 700

Compared to last week’s 709, no surge, bump, uptick or spike to be seen 😬

Interesting that they are not listed as Sold Out. And I could add a set to my Cart. Haven’t tried checking out yet though

Apparently a unicorn was spotted and sold on eBay today:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/9-MARATHING-Ludlow-Back-2020-Topps-Wacky-Packages-OCTOBER-Week-2/254797495026?hash=item3b531d3af2:g:ER0AAOSwrVRfySbY

It would have been interesting to see how high it would have gone in a 7 day listing.

Can I ask what was so Unique about this one?

There are several people here missing that sticker (Marathing Ludlow) and speculation was beginning that maybe Topps didn't print it.

While I love the weekly series, I must say that Topps had a "Jump The Shark" moment in October as cards 11 and 12 are both parodies of Snickers.  Not sure what they were thinking there.   In addition, card #12-Creeps is a basically a reissue of Creeps for ANS2.  The only difference is the color from Yellow (ANS2) to Purple for Oct-Week 3.  I don't mind if they do parodies of the same products, but not back to back.  Also, I want to continue to see Original parodies and not ones that have been used in the past.

And speaking of which, how about the final October checklist of Blood Pop and the first November checklist of Blown Pop?
