How to display a single sketch card
« on: January 28, 2018, 10:36:47 AM »
Hey everybody,

I'm looking for ideas about how to display a sketch card. It's a 50th Anniversary "can shaped" card like this one:

I'm not much into sketches, but mine is very special to me and I'd like to display it. So, I'm looking for ideas. Thanks!

Nice sketch!

Check out Amazon.

Ultra Pro makes fixed one piece and adjustable two piece stands that can be used to display top loaders, thick magnetically closed holders, or screwdowns.  The adjustable one barely shows.

BCW has a nice acrylic stand (vertical only) with the card holder built in, with UV protection, as well as the kind where you use your own holder.

That isn't my sketch. It's just an example. Mine is in the same "can" format, though.

Maybe I could just Gorilla Glue it to the wall? Probably increase the value of my house when I sell it!

CAN we see this sketch that needs its own space?

I like to put a sketch or a sticker in a top-loader with a magnet hot glued to the back.

So it will adhere to the fridge, file cabinet, desk lamp stand, hard drive tower, etc.

You can stick a metal push pin into a wall or other materials, and the top-loader will also stick to that.

Yikes! You don't really keep a magnet right by your computer hard drive, do you?   >( :o

Make sure you get a case that has UV protection.  Light can fade artwork pretty quickly, especially if the room gets direct sunlight.  I have lots of comic book-related artwork on my walls, and I rotate it every couple years for variety and to prevent fading.
