It does feel like 13.8 billion years ago, but it is indeed just the 10th anniversary! I started it just for fun to share the wackiness of the hobby with friends and fans. And while the last few years have been a little quiet, someday I hope to make it an International holiday

When commuting - I envision all the DIMWIT DOTS on the train - its actually my sister-in-law's 'nickname' "SAY Hi to DIMWIT DOT!!"

I only use PEPTO-DISMAL when referring to that for years...its part of my vernacular now!!

Happy Wacky day.  I love it.  My favorite wackys, that got me started back in 1973, was Liptorn and Skimpy.  I use to buy them from the ice cream man in  front of my house.  I would wait everyday to buy a new pack.  I have loved them ever since.  Have a great day all you wacky fans....

I rediscovered wackys at a vintage toy shop in Berkeley, CA about 20 years ago. The owner had a stack of die cuts which contained titles I hadn't seen since the 60s - cracked jerk and slum maid raisins ( which still horrify me but in a good way) were like old friends! I traded him a stack of my dip stickers, mostly series 3s I think, at a about 5 stickers to his 1 die cut. When I went home I found a small stash of wacky ads that I had put away but these were mostly the cards with the reprinted titles but they were mint! A

Series 1 resonates the best memories for me! I didn't have much money, but I used my allowance money and the generosity of my brother to compile a little collection. I never got a coveted Paul Maul back then, but I didn't care. I wish I kept all of those. I stuck them in scrapbooks.

Well I have a number of Wacky Packages paintings on my walls and some leave me in awe but there's only one that always makes me smile.  It is Tom Bunk's 'Killson' from the Wacky Poster series.  Tom's work strikes me as a wonderful Wacky/Mad hybrid and I feel we're so fortunate to have him among the Wacky artists.
