they are the last 20 cards (91-110) of the base set and aren't subsets. Maybe there was a different plan early on, but I'm glad they're just standard cards and not a chase.

IIRC, Patrick, it was Cardboard Connection that originally announced these 20 Wackys as three subsets, but for unknown reasons Topps changed their mind and merged them into the base stickers while keeping their original formats as subsets.
Also, I've always thought that the Batty Baseball Wackys just
may have been the inspiration for the next series in 2016,
