Loved that Bosco as a kid. Cool lipoff avitar there, isn't there a story behind that like it was an orginal rough? I remember reading posts about that a while back.

Yeah, if my memory serves me well, Dave Gross bought it on Ebay.  He had a hunch it was painted by Norman Saunders and after hearing his reasons, I would agree.  David Saunders had the opinion it wasn't but I don't think he ever responded after Dave offered up his evidence. Who ever painted it, it's a cool skeleton guy drinking a cup of tea... but I'd like to think it's actually coffee though because coffee rocks.

That is really cool and I cannot quite tell if it was or wasn't painted by Norm S. Very cool anyway. Close to Lip Off,
Liptorn is one of my favorite all time Wacky's and ironically (almost to joke about myself) I was born with a cleft palate (hair lip). Fortunately I was born at a time when they knew how to fix them otherwise I would of had to tell people it was the scalding hot soup.

Wow you found a Gold boarder one too. Very rare !!

Okay, here's the song we used to sing about Bosco when I was in elementary school...
(sung to the tune of no recognizable song in no recognizable key)...

I hate Bosco, its made of TNT
My mother puts it in my milk to try and poison me.
I fooled mommy, I put it in her tea....
and now I have no mommy, to try and poison me.

I look forward to your fan letters.

Anyone notice the complete Silver Flash Foil set on eBay for $60.00 BIN and no one is grabbing it?  That set should be worth at least $100.00.

Geez! One set per case (if the collation works out), and no one will pay $60??  I have an extra set, but I'd rather keep it than sell it for that.

I drew the salesmen on the backs of the Wack-o-mercials. Here's a link to my blog showing them, for anyone who's interested.

Some kids who grew up with Bosco didn’t like it? Even chocolate syrup has its adolescent aficionados?!

Although both sides of my family live in NJ, I grew up in CA, and whenever we would travel east to visit our relatives, I would greatly anticipate Bosco.
When Grandma would open the cupboard and pull out the bottle of Bosco, my sister and I beamed with delight. Growing up in So. Cal, we were raised on CIB

We loved Bosco... but when you are a kid, your fickle and will trade allegiances in a heartbeat for a well crafted ditty... Or even unwell crafted one.  Hey, look at me posting from an iPad.  ;D

using the search function can be sometimes problematic though.
for instance, if you do a search for MJB while on this page, you will get 0 results even though it's in multiple posts. Makes no sense.

I just added the google search mod to the bottom of the home page. Try it out.

I've got 70's boxes for a few flavors of Carnation Instant Breakfast, though I've only posted a couple:
