Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know about the upcoming April Wacky event! As I mentioned in a previous thread, April 1st is the First Official Wacky Packages Day but did you know wackypackages.com will be celebrating Wackys ALL MONTH LONG! There are all kinds of fun promotions planned, starting with a new Wacky Packages Comic #5! It's a super cool 24 page deluxe edition that features 9 stories from some of your favorite Wacky artists, including Jason Brower, Neil Camera, Brent Engstrom, Matthew Kirscht, Mark Parisi, Joe Simko, Smokin' Joe, Colin Walton and Fred Wheaton! It also includes several new promo cards to collect and trade!

Also coming in April are new Wacky Packages Funpaks! Each pack contain one random surprise sketch card from a potpourri of wacky packages releases, past and present! More details about this and other promotions coming soon!

I sure like this idea!

I know this goes against the whole "sketch card chase" approach, but sometimes I just want to spend a little money and get a random sketch, without having to buy a box or hoping to pull a sketch from a zillion packs.

I would assume that if Topps is offering sketches they will be the ones used in the comic like they did with Simko and Lynch. We haven't seen any sketches from the Camera, Engstrom, or this comic. Should be exciting!
You also have to realize there won't be many sketches used in the original comics so these will be scarce.

Never thought about that. So the comic sketches could be the treasures.

These were fun at the last show. I got a really nice Parisi Cap'n Clunk that I had been trying to get an example of when PC7 came out. Someone pulled an Old School 3 Lynch, and someone got a color.

Dude,

These are great....except for every $100 spent then ALL the SKETCH CARDS SHOULD BE COLOR and AWESOME!!!they look to be "special" sketch cards just for the fun packs and NOT containing 'Old' sketches (ie OLDS1,2,3,4, or ANS Sketches) ?? Am I right on that??

Ah, I was wondering if there would be a catch!

I think it is best to think of the FunPaks as a "bonus" . . . spend a 100 bucks and get an extra bonus, spend 200 and get two, and so on

My understanding is that they're from various wackys sets past and present (and not just the comics)!

By the way, the comic is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

This really stinks! I have no idea what to buy to even get to $100? If they had collector boxes that would be different but I don't want to buy hobby boxes of ANS10. Plus you have no idea if you will get a comic sketch. I may have to pass on this totally.

I can just buy the sketches on ebay. Problem solved!
Topps doesn't even have the ANS10 binders on their store yet. I could use 2 because the one binder is completely full and I still have the base and blues to add.

ever since I seen the post with "super special" ?DEAL?, I was trying to think of something to say but I cant get over that 100 dollar thing. really?
even if the cereals were for sale 3 boxes only gets you half way there.
how about coffee table book #3 ? lets get that together!

or can we submit receipts for the more than $100 dollars we've all spent over the past 2 weeks? cough cough ans10.

this is not a complaint about more products being available , but about the fact , oh whatever.

Will they be available on April 1, along with the next wave of cereal box sets? If so, those items plus the comics (I intend to buy 3 to get the bonus cards) will put my shopping cart near $100.

So 1 Promo card free with each comic and an extra one if you buy 3. There are 3 cards right? The pic shows 4. Are those cards for illustration only. Will they make sure to give you all 3 cards and not dupes if you buy 3 comics?
