Wow, just caught up on this thread. Will add Gary to my thoughts and prayers. I'll also send some stuff to help cheer him up to that posted address. I'm also in on that donation of 5. towards a Olds 3 box for him if that works out here let me know.

Nothing new today. His surgery to implant a pacemaker appeared to go well. I'm getting occasional updates from his niece and she said today that there was no change to report.

This is really sad. 48 years old and needs a pacemaker. Please let us know if/when Gary goes home before OLDS3 comes out. I will need his address because I have an OLDS3 box ear marked for him. I wish there was more I could do but this should cheer him up. I know it would me if I was in this condition. It takes the wacky family to pull together and help out a member in need.

This may be a temporary adjunct while he heals, don't know for certain. I don't press for too many details but I am thankful to have someone to keep us updated.

Just sent him a card and copy of the Wacky Halloween Comic..it fit nicely in the card i got him..sending out healing positive prayers..

Got a little update this evening that Gary slept most of the day. He is running a very high fever 106.6 and they are trying to figure out why.

I'm among those just hearing about this. My good thoughts go with Gary and I'll definitely send him those thoughts and a little something wacky. Please keep sending updates when those are available.

Just came across this thread and really sad to hear what happened to Gary. Here's hoping he gets better.

Update 1-23-2012
Still fighting fever and infection. There was hope that his jaw could be unwired soon, but x-rays indicate that he'll have to keep them another couple of weeks. :-(

A small update today that there hasn't been much change in Gary's condition, but they are moving him to a new facility on Friday.

To me, this seems like it could be a good sign, in that he can travel. However, I wonder WHY he needs to be moved...

That's what I'm hoping for. I think maybe the move is primarily for rehab. Dayton is about 34 miles closer to his hometown too which I'm sure is better for friends and family. I look forward to getting more updates, but I am taking them as they come.
