Tory,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad.  Please accept, my condolences to you and your family.  I wish the best for your mom as well.

I used (and still have it bookmarked) your dad's website many times over the years.  His contributions to the hobby are much appreciated.

Matt

Yeah, as much as most large corporations dont pay the writers and artists enough, at least they get paid something. This unauthorized stuff doesnt pay the creators a penny….

Topps pays the artists for their creations just once, for the original sticker - it isn't like they get royalties, is it?  Do the artists get extra from Topps if their sticker art is reused in a licensed product?  I never thought these reproductions were hurting the artists, and actually bought some to get "kiss cut" versions of my favorite postcard titles.

I concur.  I looked on eBay and the 79 goes for about $30.  I didn't see any 82 or 86.  They are harder to find, but the demand is also lower.  I would guess maybe $50 for the 82 and $30-40 for the 86.  If you're set on selling, I would definitely sell as complete sets.  Individual stickers are only about $0.50 to $1, and it's doubtful you'd be able to sell them all.

Since they're not worth a lot, if I were you, I'd hang on to them.  The memory of something your dad collected is worth more than you would get from selling them.  After my father died, I kept a few of the most special things he collected just for the memories.

It would be nice to see a sampling of pictures of the Lost Wackys from the binder.

Thank you, I'll probably hold onto these and keep looking for the rest of his collection to see if anything has any value. I'll take some more photos of the Lost Wackys soon and post them here. He also has some original art - I need to look up the artists

There is only 1 Mickey Mouse short in public domain before this: "The Mad Doctor".
Is that the short where Mickey's a scientist in a lab and it starts with him making a potion which, when given to a fly, enables said fly to beat up a spider in its own web? I saw that scene from that short in a Disney special hosted by Jiminy Cricket once.
