I'm excited but nervous at the same time! It's been a long time since the last postcards, and I have a feeling Topps is going to charge a lot for these, much like the price increase on Old School. I just got furloughed at work, so money will be tight. But I have all the previous postcard sets and I really want to get these to continue the collection with no holes.

If sales are a little lower than the earlier sets, I hope Topps will take into account that a lot of people are losing their jobs. On that note, if anyone here finds themselves furloughed/laid off/fired when the set is released, shoot me a PM.

Thanks! The problem is I want the bonus cards. I have a complete set thus far. Never completed the artist profile cards, but that's OK if I miss those. I will weigh the options once these are released. I don't see a glut of too many Wacky Packages products released this year, so maybe I can swing this.

Well, I ordered 3 sets of the limited edition in order to (hopefully) get a complete set of Bio cards. Those were some of my favorite items in the original run, a complete set of them makes a fabulous 'series' (as does a set of the bonus cards). If I get dupes, I'll be back here trading!
Let's hope this is the start of a regular return, the Halloween postcards RULE.
Pity they didn't make a new binder for these.

If I remember correctly, the last Wacky series, and possibly earlier ones, were also listed under GPK in the emails. And, I imagine the GPK parody is in front to entice GPK collectors to buy the postcard set(s).

I have a question regarding ALL of the postcard sets released - was there ever a time where the parody artwork on the front of the bio cards was different than the parody art on the postcards? In most cases, the bio cards are basically trading card sized versions of the postcards with the bio information on the backs.

You're right, most of the bio cards were trading card sized versions of postcards. But, there were two Mark Parisi bio cards included in packs that featured his rough art (Wander, which was a postcard, and Mr. Ghoulbar, which was a bonus card). And there were two bio cards that had the exact artwork used on bonus cards (Pampered and Necko). Finally, the Starbeast bio card doesn't match the postcard because the postcard that had Starbeast on it was a combo and also had Tootsie Troll on it.

Thanks for the thorough breakdown! I knew there were a few differences over the years. Never tracked down a complete set of all the bio cards from each postcard set, but at least I have all the artwork in some type of format.

Do you know why the envelope looks more like a GPK release than a Wacky release? Was it simply because it was released on April Fool's?

Yes, the GPK graphic are an intentional pun, especially for an April Fools Day release!

The total number of sketches hasn't been posted here. Maybe Neil will be able to tell us after the purchase window closes.
I remember once before they put some extra sketches into bonus envelopes with later orders. Was it with comic books? I certainly hope they won't destroy any sketches!

Maybe I'm confused, but since this is an On Demand set, doesn't that mean no leftovers? They'll just print up what was ordered, no waste. The only limiting factor (causing a sell out) would be running out of sketches, true? (If they wind up with extra sketches, they can throw an extra one or two into my package, lol)

Would only be the case for the regular set, if they’re doing those as print on demand, which is very likely.
The Limited are all signed and have sketches. That all had to be done in advance.

Paid for overnight shipping and the masked FedEx mad left it at the door a while ago. I'll tell you one thing that isn't a spoiler: The envelope does not need to be mutilated in order to open it and keep it presentable.

My day got completely messed up when my sister decided to do a porch visit at my mother's house with very short notice. I almost didn't come back to my house today, but boy, am I glad that I did - there be Wackys here!!!
Looking at my sketch pulls, and a bunch on ebay, and I think there may be as many as 20 sketch artists! This is going to be a tough set to write up.
No other spoilers from me now :D

My latest update shows the label got smudged somewhere during transport between Louisiana and Texas and had to be reprinted.
This added two whole days to the delivery time.

Mine came today, I'm super happy to have these during these strange times! I'll wait for everyone else's to arrive before discussing but I definitely have my favorites (hint: I've always been partial to monster Wackys).
My only complaint is my Postcard binder is full since I store both the limited edition and regular sets in one. Print a binder and take my money!

Marc, just jumping into this and haven’t read the thread so sorry if this info was stated before. So with the Wacky Comic sketches the idea was that the contributing artists would do a comic as panels on sketch cards. Then the cards would be given out for purchasing a number of comics in fun packs. Well obviously this is difficult to do. So as an out, artists could simply draw their comic and then do sketches based on the panels. That’s what have in this case. Kirscht’s sketches for this set are pretty interesting as I have a couple them myself. Completely confusing outside of the context of the comic.

There's no such thing as "first annual". That should read "inaugural". Something can't be annual until it has occurred for at least two years. It's a common error that editors have to correct.

How much are these? I gotta start saving my money, but fast!
Question: are there going to be two sets (limited and regular) and will they have identical contents or not? I say this because I'd like to know if I have to order one or two sets and if there's only one, I'd like to order the limited edition set with autographs.
Also. how many bonus cards are there going to be, one or two? If it's the latter and the possible two sets have identical contents, I'd like to get the second bonus card without getting the limited edition set (but only if there are two sets and their contents are not identical; then I'll get the limited edition set and the second bonus card as well as the regular edition set and its bonus card). My various Wackys for trading are still available if it comes to that.
Finally, are there going to be any promo cards and/or artists cards for this series?
I'm asking all this because, of the five series I've already got in my binder, the 2011 series was the first one to have a limited and regular edition, but their base cards had identical contents (including their one bonus card), while the 2012 and 2013 series also had a limited and regular edition, but their base cards did not have identical contents (and each one had two different bonus cards in their respective editions). In addition, the 2011 and 2013 series each had one promo card (and don't even get me started on the artists cards; I've got all the sets for each series except the 2010 one and I can't find a complete set of them for a reasonable price anywhere).
I just want to make sure I can get everything in this series in one fell swoop so I don't have to do what I did the last five times and buy everything bit by bit.

I notice it says "While Supplies Last" so this might sell out before the week is up, like the Attacky Packages did. Maybe that's why there is a limit?

Does it actually state how many masks and how many repeats of the vintage cards are in the set, or are we going by the pictures? Assume that there will be 3 bio cards.

I agree, but since Topps is already a month behind on delivering the weekly sets, we probably won't get them before the end of November.

I figure we'll find out when we open them. Also, whether a pack will have all three with orange borders, or if they will be even more spread out. If people will keep track/report here how they find them it will be helpful.

I believe the orange cards are randomly inserted, so it's likely you won't get all 3 in one pack.

Please keep in mind, these are not an official Topps product, just something I put together for fun with their blessings. The spine is ideally suited for a 3/4" or 1" binder, but may need to be trimmed to fit.
Also, the files are large enough that they should look good when printed on a decent inkjet or laser printer. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Thanks, Neil, for providing these! I miss the days of the official Topps binders for so many sets. Now, for the seemingly ungrateful part of this post. Any chance you could do one for the Mars Attax Wackys? Since I have nothing even close to official for those sets, and since they are picking up in number, I would totally love to have something for those. And, if Neil is understandably too busy, anyone else up for the challenge?

I remember being away for a weekend when a Halloween set (2012?) went on sale on a Friday afternoon. Before I got home on Sunday afternoon the limited edition sets of 600 had sold out. I'm surprised that it took almost a week this time.

Great to hear they sold all 600 sets. So I guess there are 200 each of the bios , GITD and masks. They should not be too hard to acquire. The Orange variant cards will be another story.

Hopefully everyone here will post how many orange postcards they pull. Just guessing here, but I'd be surprised if the 3 orange cards aren't all in the same pack, replacing the 3 regular white cards. The listing said to look out for orange variation "sets," and besides, I think it would make the packaging simpler.

Did Wacky Halloween Postcards 2020 sell well, or is this the end?
And how goes it with the possible Halloween 2021 card set I think I may have heard about somewhere?

The 2020 set sold out, so in my book, that would warrant a follow up set in 2021, but we'll see. Some of that will depend on what other projects are scheduled around October. Over the years, I've learned taht the golden rule with Wacky Packages is "never say never"!

That's something Topps doesn't make clear on their site - they use "Sold Out" for items that were available in essentially unlimited quantities, but only during a specified window of time, such as a day or a week, which is different from a set that had limited quantities and literally sold out before the time window expired.

Neil, I think you may have misunderstood me. The Halloween 2021 set, from what I may have seen on here somewhere (I think), is the possible follow-up to the Halloween 2019 set you did before.

You asked about the "Wacky Halloween Postcards 2020" set, which is what this thread is all about; that was a Topps product, and it sold out about 45 minutes before the 1 week sale window closed. There were 600 sets produced.
Perhaps you meant to ask about privately produced sets? That isn't in this thread. And, although I can't speak for Neil, if Topps is doing an official Wacky Halloween set, I would be very surprised if there was also a privately produced set.
