Greetings Forum Faithful!
So, it's August already and that means Halloween is just around the corner! But it's never too early to get things rolling. So, I'd like to get a show of hands from people interested in ordering sets this year. This will helps me gauge the print run and plan for unique items such as sketch cards. With that said, this year's release should be very similar to last years in terms of content and pricing. For example, 3 packs (3 cards per pack) will probably run in the neighborhood of 24 bucks, with a 3 pack limit. Once I have a better idea of the interest, I'll post an update with more details. In the meantime, please send a PM if interested and I'll get this halloween party started!

UPDATE: Here's the nuts and bolts of the 2019 Halloween release:
* Wacky Forum Exclusive Release (members must have registered on wackypackagesforum.com prior to June 1, 2019).
* 6 collectible cards
* 1 bonus card
* 1 hand-drawn sketch card (randomly inserted in packs)
* Souvenir Wrapper
* + More Surprises!!!
* Anticipated Ship Date: October 26, 2019.
$9.50 per pack (includes 1st class shipping to continental US). $18.00 per 2 pack purchase. $26.50 for a 3 pack purchase.
TO ORDER: Send me your request in a PM and indicate how many packs you would like. Please include your mailing address. Limit 3 packs per household. Available on a first come/first serve basis. I will send you a confirmation letter with payment options.
Details are subject to change, but this should give everyone a good idea of what the sets will consist of. I'll post more info and pics) as we get closer to the release date!

Oh man... your avatar makes me miss the original art. I really liked Clodfather... something about the black & yellow monochrome look was so cool. Famous Mobsters would have made a nice bookend with that one, but I'd never have been able to obtain that one.
So, when these Halloween things come out, how exactly do the orders go? I'm not on here very often anymore, so I'm not sure how this thing works once they're released.

In the past Neil has had a "Midnight Madness" sale where he accepted PM's starting at Midnight on a certain date. The max order was three packs and his stock went rapidly. If this occurs again. You snooze, you lose. It was a very fun experience.

Maybe you'll be glad to hear Scott that I've given it a good home over the last dozen or so years, and yes that color scheme really makes everything pop. And I agree, Mobsters would be such a cool piece to own. Probably in the top three or four for me anyway. I probably should have snagged Battleball when I had the opportunity also. :'(

Or has it changed hands since then? There's probably still a few pieces straggling out there that are possible to get. But I'm guessing probably 80% of everything is immovable at this point. At least all the top-notch pieces anyway. The dregs have changed hands like square-dancers over the years... (including "Muler's Dregg", which really isn't that much of a Dregg. It looked good next to the other blue ones.)

Well I'm running on an assumption here: You are Scott B aren't you? The Scott B. who once owned the original art to The Clodfather, and the same Scott B who and signed the back of it? If so, then you offered to sell Battleball at the same time you offered The Clodfather to me. There was also another piece offered, but the title escapes me now.
I'm pretty sure I know who did purchase Battleball after I turned it down and to my knowledge it hasn't changed hands since.
However if you're not Scott B. or not that Scott B., well then my initial assumption was incorrect and I apologize for the confusion. :P

Neil, I know that you said in your PM to me that this new set wasn't the old 2017 Halloween Pack 'O Fun series, but I've got a question.
Could you please tell us on the forum what the checklist of that set was (along with real names), or is even that off limits due to Topps making you shut it down in the first place? I'm guessing that you can't show pictures of them at all, but surely a checklist isn't impossible here, is it? I'd love to know what I missed out on, if I can.

Plus we can post pics there so people that don't want to look can avoid it. I have one dupe so i am guessing there are 7 original cards plus the sketch and one duplicate in the 3 sets of three. Also, by far my favorite is the Bonus card. I won't say what it is here. The only thing that could have made this set better was to have that as my sketch card!!! Thanks again for making Halloween even better than it already is.

Any chance you can start a spoilers thread and list everything that you made for this series so we can see what we got compared to all that's out there? Plus we can post pics there so people that don't want to look can avoid it. I have one dupe so i am guessing there are 7 original cards plus the sketch and one duplicate in the 3 sets of three. also - I found the top seal of the pack easily pulled apart, no tearing or stealth cutting needed to keep things looking pristine

I'd still like to keep it a forum-only release (ie, I have no interest in crowd funding), but if enough members are interested, I'd certainly give it some serious consideration. Thoughts/suggestions welcome...

I'd suggest, bearing in mind Halloween, that there would have to be at least 13 titles (being thirteen is an unlucky number.) If there were any more titles - say, 30 or thereabouts - I would hope that this wouldn't cut into future sets. I'd prefer to have smaller sets keep coming year after year, rather than one large set and then that's it. More specifically, I'd like to see a set of 13 postcards and would be willing to pay the higher price for it.

Count me in. A larger set would be great. Just the fact that you do this each year gives us all something to look forward to. But I would also say keep up with the Attacky Packages stuff too! Your set this year was awesome 😎

I got mine Thursday. Neil, once again, you've out-done yourself...what a great set! And of course, I'd be in for a larger, full-size series set next year (around 30 titles?). I'm always impressed by the professional look of your sets, no matter what size.

I suggest you do a pre-sale for a larger set to fund the project. $50 would probably cover a bigger set. You could first have those who are interested confirm their interest here; then if enough members are interested ; take our money up front. If the interest is not there; keep it the way it is for next year.

Also, by far my favorite is the Bonus card. I won't say what it is here. The only thing that could have made this set better was to have that as my sketch card!!! As for next year, I'm a proponent of "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" and I've really enjoyed the past few years worth of these. Well said! It seems to me that it's tough enough to come up with a full set of high quality Wackys without adding in the limitation of making it Halloween based (but if anyone can do it, it's Neil).

I'm late to the party and a bit puzzled I've not been able to find many spoilers. Life got in the way of getting in on the Halloween set this year, and I'd like to thank Swiski and mlmtf6 for helping me out with a couple of titles. Charmers is great Neil! This set looks fantastic. This is a classic Wacky style little character. I like all of the details - the folded foiled ends of the package and the shading and highlights really makes the image pop and appear 3D. I mean, the candy is jumping off the card! The spider web background adds a nice touch without being obstructive. I like how the green snake is emerging from the orange and the orange snake is coming out of the lime. Great work to you and the team.

I've already put with my Halloween Postcards sets and my Halloween Pack 'O Fun sets, which are all in my Wacky Halloween Postcards Limited Edition Official Collector Binder!
If this keeps up, I won't have any room left in it! Oh, why couldn't Topps have made the binder larger in this case?
