Chad, I received your wonderful Philly package and can't thank you enough! The Philly set came out fantastic and your card looks great. Love the expression on the collector's face and I can feel his pain! Thanks again as getting all these goodies were the next best thing to being there.

Eventually. This is a sketch card. I've been doing my ideas as sketch cards lately to see the response. They have all sold so I have all them on the to do pile as paintings to make prints and cards. Once I get caught up on the 2 projects I'm working on now I'll be able to work on these.

Also, found "Bloody Carrie" waiting for me in my mailbox today. (Really quick shipping.) I like the fact that you send a card with your prints. Helps to keep all of my titles nice and orderly. The prints, though, are what really knock the ball out of the park! If I had my way, I think I would like every WP rendered as a print (or at least a postcard.) Don't get me wrong. I like the cards and have been collecting them for decades. Everything really jumps out at you with the prints, however, and one can appreciate the art so much more. Besides, you can also frame them, hang them on the wall, and, get this... see them from across the room! (Except for maybe a rare case, art shouldn't have to be microscopic or small enough to fit into a shirt pocket. Putting it another way, imagine if you went into an art museum and everything was the size of a trading card. And hey, besides, even the WP artists don't paint the titles that small.)

On another note, when I first saw your skull I was immediately reminded of the Grateful Dead.
From many of the photographs you have posted, it seems as if you enjoy creating one-of-kind WP in 3D. (And you're building quite a collection, at that.) It struck me, though, that you also might make a few extra bucks with skulls featuring Grateful Dead artwork. (See images posted below.) I could be wrong, however, I'd be willing to wager you could make a pretty penny on eBay selling one or two a week. They are unique, and I believe there are a lot of Dead aficionados out there who would appreciate these - and would be more than willing to pay for them.
I realize that you would be, well, not mass producing, but more like "mini" producing them - and this can quickly grow tedious and uninspiring. You know, more like a task, rather than an exercise in creativity. However, if you used a multitude of designs, this might possibly alleviate some of the boredom that might come from "painting yet anther skull." By the time you ran through your list of designs, though, and circled back to the first, sufficient time would have passed to renew your creative energies. And besides, you could always break the cycle with WP.
The first thing that sprang to mind is as follows. The name of the album is "Steal Your Face." The design seems simple enough.

Second is the rose from "American Beauty." Like the skull from "Steal Your Face," paint the rose directly atop the model skull.

A similar red rose (this time sporting an eyeball) was used again on the cover of "Winterland 73."

This is just a suggestion, of course, and any final decisions are left up to you. Personally, though, I would try one and see what happens. If you pulled a "Matt Stock" (or even myself, having done the same) and listed only one per week on eBay, you might be surprised at what you fetch.
Two years ago or so, I made a small series of ("turn-of-the-century" and appropriately "aged") "patent medicine" (or "snake oil") bottles based around an "Alice in Wonderland" theme. (I'll post a photograph later.) It all began with one small bottle, the "Cheshire Cat's Elixir of Invisibility" and, consequently, any proceeds benefited actual cats "in need." Only an inch and a half tall, these would sell for $5 - 10. It was, I believe, the "Mad Hatter's Mercurial Tonic" and "Caterpillar's Persian Opium" bottles that brought in the big bucks, especially the latter (even though the caterpillar is surrounded by tobacco plants in the Tenniel illustrations.)
I also made one or two "Squonk Tears" bottles (based on the song "Squonk" from ""Trick of the Tail" by Genesis.) Again, these sold surprisingly well. (I still have yet to try King Crimson's "Lark's Tongue in Aspic.)
So you might give it a try with some GD skulls. It couldn't hurt, and if it garners any supplemental income, hey!
Personal note. Of course, it is entirely up to you, however I would recommend "aging" the model skull a bit (thereby making it less "plastic-y) by maybe painting it an off white first and then lightly "washing" it with a few diluted grays, tans, and browns. If possible, I would also try to find skulls that have a removable jaw. This way the jaw can be removed, and the skull would be easier to stand up on its upper front teeth for display purposes. (Like the way the skulls are shown in the illustrations above.)

When I post a picture of my "Alice" bottles, I'll also take a shot of a life-size glass human head that I purchased at the GoodWill two days ago. Only $3.99! Naturally, I couldn't live without it! Yes, thrift stores and yard sales can be veritable treasure troves! I think I'm going to mount it on a base with a crazy, spinning LED bulb inside of it, and anytime my students come up with an insight that blows everything else out of the water, I'll turn it on. You know, the cliche "light bulb in the head" thing.

There are specialty shops. I see billboards that offer 5 dollar joints. I hear you can wander in and by brownies gummy bears etc. I ate a brownie a year or so ago and it put me to sleep and gave me a headache. I think it's just a matter of time before Marlboro and other tobacco companies step in and offer 20 packs.

Had a similar experience a year or so back. Really knocked me for one helluva loop! It seems that today's recreational substances are a "bit more modified" than those of my smoke-filled stadium days of yesteryear.
On another note, my unasked question a few posts above was this: Card and print availability? Particularly "Marijuana" and "Koon." Like the WP alcohol and cigarette parodies, "Marijuana" is somewhat "taboo." It is different, stands out, and would fit in nicely with other "outlaw" product parodies, such as "Ovary Show" and some of Smokin' Joe's "Wicked Packages."
(Right now, my camera is buried in one of the many boxes I carted home from my classroom. As soon as I excavate it, I'll send you a photo of a "Viaggravate" card I purchased 3 - 4 years ago (as well as a photo of the glass head and bottles I mentioned before.) It's different, and I think you'll appreciate it.)
I also really like "Koon" in that it has so many elements that are Old School. The tails sticking out of the pack, the nauseous raccoon, the fact that, of all crazy creatures, it is a raccoon, the simple and concise taglines, etc.. Without stretching the imagination, it would be easy to envision me plucking this title out of a loaf of Wonder Bread (and battling my brother over it) back in the day. Plus, I've really grown attached to raccoons, being my girlfriend has a few at her rescue. (They've been released, yet hang around anyway.)
So, if you happen to work up either of these titles - in between trash picking, flea marketing, and marathon painting - please give me a shout. Thanks!

I like that idea! I was born in 69, but study the history of advertising characters. Not sure how the bundles will work. I'm still submitting ideas for future Wacky Packages. Time will tell if they are approved or not.

Nothing wrong with more Twin peaks ideas (so long as no one enters the room and catches you in a trance-like state doing an Audrey Horne dance! Or worse, yet, the Little Man dance!)
Don't rightly know the printing expense of the following, however it would be cool to do a small book of a dozen pictures featuring your Twin peaks gags, but made like a postcard book that, when you open it, the picture pages unfold accordion style. The front cover could be a parody of the opening title shot (see picture below) with maybe a couple of the characters superimposed, as well as the title "Twin Geeks" (Freaks, Reeks, Cheeks, or whatever you prefer.) Among other places, you might be able to sell them in Snoqualmie, WA, where some of the show was filmed and consequently has become somewhat of a tourist destination. (A much shorter trip than traveling to Allentown, PA!)

Particularly like "Quarter Hounder" and "Filet O' Flesh." Unlike some others here - cough, cough - I do enjoy a bite from McDonald's. In fact, if I had a large freezer, I would inquire about purchasing Filet O' Flesh by the case!

I agree. People on food stamps drive nicer cars than I do. But yes, this was an odd sight. The lady was probably in her 30's, looked 80. I also didn't notice any baby food or diapers among her items. Maybe she stocked up the day before.

What's the story behind it? A modified blister pack? And where did the little "Soda Pup" come from?

I sculpted the Soda Pup. Painted the card back and sealed the sculpture in the blister. I sold this but made a mold to make resin copies of the Pup. I will do 5 painted figures and 5 that glow. Very limited.

Count me in, if you could, please? If possible, I think I would like the painted pup (assuming that the glow pup would be one solid color.) The pup definitely has an original Wacky look about him/her. Kind of reminds me of the "Pupsi" pup.

I'm just yanking your chain. The package is in perfect, absolute pristine condition. This is a work of art. I love everything: the background card, the package itself, and of course, the pup! Everything stays the way it is, the way it was meant to be. I will probably never open it.
Now I feel bad for messing with you. Please accept my apologies.
(To those of you out there, Chad sent me a PM offering to replace the background card because I mislead him into thinking I had mangled it attempting to open the package with a saw knife. I point this out because this just goes to show what a great guy he is, along with being a great painter - and sculptor, to boot.)
I was surprised, however, by the size of the pup. When you first posted "Soda Pup," I was under the impression (for whatever reason) that it was really small, maybe an inch or so in height, when in actuality it is probably at least three times that size. Very well detailed, too.
Again, Chad, thank you. I love owning unique pieces that one just doesn't see everyday, and this makes a wonderful addition to my collection.
