Seen any good movies lately?
« on: January 25, 2011, 06:54:53 PM »
We set up a movie room and use a PS3 as our movie player including netflix access so have been watching random movies that pop up on netflix.

Saw Frozen, Unthinkable and Murder in the First recently.

Frozen is a low budget, no name actor/actress movie that actually was better than I expected.  Just the right amounts of Gore, trauma and drama will have some sense of possibilities of reality.

Unthinkable kinda lost its way somewhere towards the end.

Murder in the First: Kevin Bacon deserved an Oscar.

Anyone see any of these?

I see so many movies, I cant remember what I have seen half the time.

I went and saw "The King's Speech"  and it was very good.

Frozen was a lot better than I thought it would be too.  One of the best "B" movies I have seen.

I watched Frozen with my girlfriend and the wolf scene really freaked her out.  She almost didn't want to finish the movie after that scene!  LOL

We saw the Green Hornet.  Fun film but you can skip seeing it in 3-D.  Effects didn't warrant it to enjoy the film.

Amc Theaters do an Oscar marathon weekend for all of the nominated films.  We are 0 for 10 as we had seen none of them yet so we will be doing the weekend marathon.  Social network will get covered then!

Has anyone seen the movie "Red" starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman John Malkovich & Helen Mirren?  Is this worthwhile to purchase on DVD?

lots of fun to watch. can't really say about purchasing though, as I've pretty much stopped buying anything on disc anymore. less clutter.
