wow! thanks for spotting that.
can't say I'm all that surprised though. Aldrin has been persistent in preventing others from profiting off of his image for many years.
time to C&D the American Heroes cards!!

I thought Buzz would sue on the original Wacky Packages 14th. sticker series entry "Fanatical and Sickly Fiction" if one of the astronauts looked like him!

Have those cards already been released?  If so, I bet you will see a bunch of Aldrin cards from the set hitting eBay soon!  You think Buzz would try to go after the resellers on eBay who would be trying to make a big profit from his card?

yeah, they came out in 2009. I haven't see any listed on ebay yet though, surprisingly. Just some older cards from Starline. whoever that is.

From what I read, Buzz does pretty well with this.  One article said he has recovered an estimated $760,000 for the use of his likeness/image.  These cases always boil down to "a number".
