The main word which came to mind as I perused these was: clueless. The "shading" on the "scans" is actually neither one, I believe. I think it is the shadow of the person holding the camera as the photo is taken. I've been a victim of this myself; you have to shoot with a flash without light from above and stand a bit back to avoid this effect. Regardless, it looks like some random number generator was used to select prices for them...and why would you even send in that 6-Up to get a 1.5? I think that's the first FR grade I've seen.

Hey, that PSA 1.5 FR 6-Up must be a 1 of 1!  Grab it!

I completely agree on "clueless."  Those weren't worth submitting for grading.

As for the shading, I suspected what you explained.  But, seriously, if you're listing items at those prices (especially the 8-Lives!) shouldn't you check out your pics/scans before posting them, and try to have the best you can get?

He must think 2nd and 1st tans are equally uncommon.

Grave Train is a 3 (MC).  With the no-qualifier option, it's a 1.

Did Topps put these out in 2008?

Or is this ass clown just claiming that?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Topps-LOST-WACKY-PACKAGES-2nd-SERIES-OFFICIAL-BINDER/322951663835?hash=item4b316b50db:g:7EMAAOSwyKxaAkpk

Topps did NOT produce these.  I'm surprised they aren't objecting to their name being used in the auction title.

Looks like Matt’s just been listing the binders that way and not the cards.
Man, the 3rd binder has been selling for stupid money. $600 for a fan made item?

It's that completist mentality, I suppose........personally I prefer the padded Old School binders.......speaking of which, where's the OLDS 6 binder??

I prefer the original, non-padded Lost binders.  I am forever finding dents in my padded binders.   But, really, $600 for a binder that was probably printed a few months ago by a fan who can just order some more from his printer when he runs out??

I agree!

While they're at it, might as well go retro for ANS 1-6, Flashbacks, and Chrome.

I guess that's what makes the hobby go around...I can't see paying $20 for that binder, yet I'm willing to spend on these, which probably seems foolish to others. Let the free market reign!

Those are beautiful!  If you have any hand-me-downs, I'm interested - I have been let down so many times by ebay PSAs that my collecting has slowed to a trickle.

I agree about people having different focuses in their collecting, but these binders are not limited in quantity.  People might pay hundreds of dollars for the NSU binder set, but those were a licensed, limited release, with a finite number of binder sets produced, and there won't be any more ever made.

eBay auction: #362197525542

Oh my.........  And these royal screw-ups affect all the stats on graded titles.  How could they possibly mistake a NUMBERED and DATED reissue for an original?????

Beyond that, Probstein has already listed it once and had to pull it.

In fairness, he has it titled and described correctly. He notes that the "PSA flip says 1974, but it's really 1980".

Good, I didn't read that far. But like Pat says, PSA should be alerted because it throws off the population report, which for a PSA 10 kinda matters....

Actually, both the title and description were revised after I posted this, and 70topcat also cancelled his bid.

I don't think the clarification/correction was there when I looked earlier, but it's good he did that.  Really though, it should be sent back to PSA for a new ID.

Yeah, the problem is probably that even as a 10 it's likely worth only $10 or so, so not really worth it for the owner to bother.

Here's another person without a clue:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-TOPPS-WACKY-PACKS-CAMALS-FULL-SET-1-66-MINT-CONDITION-ULTRA-RARE/253307421474?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D39260%26meid%3Dfad1bb4dff334e22916b64cc58e3f171%26pid%3D100022%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D352242963397&_trksid=p2055119.c100022.m2048
I sent the following ebay message to them: "Hi. I was wondering how you came to the conclusion that this set is worth this kind of money?"

Their response: "Thank you for reaching out. I was unable to locate another full set like this and found the inviduals were going for $30 or so per card. This being mint and full I decided to list it high with the best offer option to see what people would be will to pay on a true open market such as ebay."

I want to ask where they're seeing reissues selling for $30 each, but I don't think it's worth my time/effort to continue down this path with them.

Ah, there's a simple explanation!  They, too, are probably seeing the same PSA erroneously graded cards that we have been seeing!  Why, it's just amazing what WP are going for these days!

I wonder what his reply would have been if you had questioned him about the set being "Ultra Rare?"

Some people do seem to think a PSA holder makes anything more valuable. In fact, for the majority of cards that grade below PSA 7, the exact opposite is true.

I am much more forgiving with condition when it comes to Die-cuts and Ads, and if there was a good sale for grading at $5-$7 per card, I might get my raw Die-cuts graded.  But I can't see any of them getting lower than a 4 - I wouldn't even consider bothering with something that is a 1.5, unless it was Ratz, or a Jolly Mean #21, and even then it would be because I think the PSA holders do protect the perfs.
