A what?

I think Tom is talking about this:

Tom, BTW, I searched for & went back to your For Sale thread to look at the original pic from the auction which had the posters & sleeves in it too & the picture is no longer there. Do you still have it to repost?

I don't think so. My recollection (and I could be wrong) was that I only posted the pic of the Toadal poster from the auction itself. The other pic showing the sleeve(s) was my own photo.

I remember that well. You outbid me on the auction and then you almost threw away the wrapper in the trash thinking it was just packing material. Good thing I asked you to post a pic. Oi!

Not everyone has the same radar for detail. People at card shows miss things like this all the time.
yeah, I could see missing one of this in a pile of checklist but no, I don't see how a 20 year expert can miss this when it is an uncut sheet and the changed tagline stands out like a sore thumb!  If it were only the Mrs. Kleen spelling, then I would see how it could be missed on an uncut sheet.  Is this guy a buddy of yours or something?

The consensus (mainly from Fanatical, myself and Kook) is that it's a clear, plastic sleeve that was used by Topps salespersons to promote the poster series. The auction being referred to contained some posters, most notably a Toadal and Cheapios which were both unfolded, and two of the pictured sleeves, which we believe housed the aforementioned posters at some point. We surmise that the rolled up posters would be in these sleeves to be given out to retailers as samples. To my knowledge, these are the only two known to be in collectors' hands. Not sure I can explain any better or with any more detail than that. Anyone help me or did I pretty much cover it?

Covered and clear... you know, like a poster sleeve clearly covers a poster.

There are posts about it from March of 2014, but I'm not sure when exactly the auction happened.

February of 2013 is when the auction ended and the discussion occurred. After reviewing my records, the auction contained only 3 posters (Toadal, Cheapios and Gadzooka) and the sleeves. The thread of discussion: http://www.wackypackagesforum.com/index.php?topic=2752.0

6 or 7 years ago, it would be scooped up for a grand. So far, still no takers @ $12.95... How things change.

Really!!!

Hey!  Don't knock it!

The lucky bidder also receives the small, gray chunk of cat litter, mouse dropping, brown piece of cat food, and the sunflower seed resting at the base of the toilet bowl!

So you see, there are actually bargains galore to be found here!  The Wackys are just something thrown in to sweeten the pot a little bit more!

If you knew about eBay, why would you spend $125.39 putting together this set?

Spread out on the floor just 2 foot from their toilet bowl. Nice.

That picture would keep me from bidding on pretty much anything................

Only $65?  Too good to be true!  Man, you better slap a bid down on these babies right now!

(And what's the deal with "come see batman?")

Just for laughs, here's the actual description that the seller has for this auction:

"here we have 84 wacky packages 1960s 1970s  8 die-cuts two are 25.00. 6 are 15.00 in the 70s. 3 are rear. 62 are not but I not shore. 9 are puzzle. one is a checklist all are  vg  see pic and good luck  there are 84 in all"

Kids, this is why it's not wise to do dope and post ebay listings at the same time. Remember... drugs are bad, mmmm-kay?!
