Hmmm, I made one of these variations myself when the label slid off and I accidentally slipped it back  on upside down. Little did I know I tripled the value.

Haha, that's why there are sellers who ask crazy prices, because there are actually buyers out there who will pay it.

Somebody wasted a lot of time listing those.
Don't all of these have "best offer" too?  How does that equate to waste of time?  I always list things high, take offers and most often screw ebay of fees by working out private deals.  Been doing it for years.  I hope this seller does the same.

That's true but this seller's prices are so far out of whack I doubt he'll get any offers.  If I see an item I want with a "or best offer" but the price is 5x market, I don't put an offer in because 99% of the time the seller is insulted by it.

however that 1% of the time it could be after he listed it for the 3rd 30 day segment and just wants them gone and you just happen to be in the right place at the right time

Talk about lazy and crazy...this seller just copied a Tedjeffrey description of a wacky puzzle, verbatim, onto every one of his wacky auctions...whether it's a puzzle, a sticker, whatever. It sure inspires confidence:

I feel bad for people who have ebay as their only source:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Topps-1974-Wacky-Packages-10th-Series-Unopened-Wax-Pack-/150604959545?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2310c14f39

I picked up 6 perfect packs just like this yesterday for $18 apiece, could have had 15 more. All people have to do is visit this forum.

I lost a few auctions to this guy before.  he bids in .01 cent increments.  It was always on 1967 series cards also.  I knew the seller of the batch that I lost.  After he wins he takes a couple of weeks to pay but he did pay.  If he is bidding on an auction that you want. DO NOT BID until the last second.  If you are selling make sure you let him know about your auction.

What am I missing? What's the sense of all the teeny tiny bids?

He probably just keeps upping his bid slightly until he reaches the highest bidder status.  Maybe he doesn't realize it won't automatically go to his max bid, so he thinks he saving money.
