So you can pay $20 for artwork stolen from Topps. No binder included! Such a deal!

$9.90 shipping makes it seem even more like you're getting a binder.

I guess that's no worse than selling 8x10 photos of Wacky Packages boxes, or the people who sell a book of high quality content by Wikipedia articles!

I bet the production costs make it cost prohibitive.  While I really like the binders, maybe Topps should focus on making the slip in inserts for a three-ring binder and sell those instead.  Or better yet, give them away with set purchases as an incentive rather than putting different backs on the same sticker.  They could be printed on demand at a very low cost.  They used to make sell sheets and even included posters in some of the ANS, Flashback, and Olds sets, when there used to be a box.  So that creative process was there in the past.

The pages for Funny Fiends were really cool, but required that the stickers be peeled and stuck.  I ended up buying an extra set to keep nice.  We card collectors are a strange breed, right?  Or, is it just me  :o

Not at all.  ;D  For example, remember the make your own Wacky Colorform-like cards that were a chase set for one of the ANS sets? I got one set to leave as is for the binder and another to play around with.

I have 4 sets I could let go for $40 each and the Crams have a border!  LOL

But these are the ultra rare ones!  Besides the Cram's missing border, the White Fowl has a crease on its corner, and the Pounds has a printing flaw.  That's just from a first glance at the poorly taken photos.  What are the odds of finding that combination in a complete set?

I wonder if sellers like this are similar to the guy on Storage Wars who was convinced he found a $2,000 original Nintendo in one of his lockers.  When Darrell Sheets convinced him to get it valued, it was worth about $20.  I see so many sellers thinking that their Wacky Packages finds are worth a fortune.  There's a Paul Maul 1st white with a BIN price of $585 currently listed with a condition of EX at best.  I guess there's a sucker born every minute who just might buy it for that price.

Worried I might have overpaid for the series I just bought via eBay described as NM-/NM (with both versions of Cram) for $60. Feeling better after seeing the listing above!  :o

I first pointed out this auction in Dec 2016, it's been running, on and off, that long. And this is the second time that you've pointed it out to us in this thread, LOL. At least you're consistent.  :P

The seller’s real name is . . . PT Barnum.

But even the sucker of all suckers shouldn’t (and apparently won’t) fall for this one.

eBay should have a rule limiting how many times you can re-list until you have to lower the starting bid by a minimum percentage.  But then, all they’re thinking of is their fee percentages on a $1,500 sale.  They’d rather wait 5 years than settle for less.

Hey, at least it is "Mint!!"

The solution to this mystery is that this guy just stole Mike Assante’s auction text verbatim...only Mike is selling a PSA 9 of this card, which is one of the toughest titles from the 15th series to find in that grade. Primarily because most of the cards look more like the “nuts” seller’s copy.

I love it when you get an email like this from eBay.  It makes you wonder what they're thinking.

The original one I was watching for $100.49 had free shipping.  The one that saves me $15.50 has $25 shipping.

I am not even sure where to begin with this one.  Auction says WB (white back), it is a tan back.  It is a Wonderbread not a series 1, they even show a close up of the hard corner die cut for the cap, and somehow PSA gave this piece of crap an 8!!  At least it has a qualifier.....

At least the seller identified it as a mistaken identity by PSA and says that it was priced accordingly.

After all the scandals going on with sports card submissions, I'm not sure who would even trust PSA anymore to 1) correctly identify the item and 2) give it a fair and consistent valuation.  I have to admit that #1 can be difficult with all the variations, but #2 should be the whole reason to trust them.  The concept of authenticating cards and assigning a consistent grade should be a simple one, but alas absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Yeah, the WB in this case means Wonder Bread, not White Back, hence "WB [die]Cut". Still way overpriced for what it is...n't.

Ah, that makes sense.  Although I have seen PSA's that spell out Wonderbread.  I guess that is why I assumed white back.  The grade, however does not!

But you'll get $100 eBay bucks!

I wonder if some sellers do any research before listing?

This came across in one of my searches today.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/153968507695

After reading his description, I have no idea why he thinks this would be worth $2000 or whose autographs he's talking about that are worth $100.  Granted, he's into sports cards, but he's got a lot of listings on eBay, so a little research on the autographs of the better known names (Karch Kiraly, Sinjin Smith, Mike Dodd) says that they won't move at $10.  I've bought a handful of these on eBay with more autographs, some from this era and some that were even older, and the most I ever paid was $40.  I've even gotten a couple of them for $0.99, because usually I'm the only bidder.

These way overpriced type of auctions have existed since the advent of Ebay.  My question is, why don't these people  do 1 minute of research right here on Ebay to see what their items go for? If his sets were really in nice shape (doubt it) and he sold them separately with nice up close pics, he may get $150 for the pair.  $10,000?  He must think he is sitting on a gold mine.

Note to self:  any unslabbed wackys listed as MINT in brand new condition......  RUN!
