Doesn’t this price seem a bit ridiculous??
Thought I’d complete this set at some point but I simply don’t feel like that’s reasonable at all for that card.
only 2 bidders north of $167.  Doesn't this seller use PSA?  Any time someone known to get stuff graded lists raw material, clearly it won't get PSA8 or above so the folks bidding $300 plus are probably being irrational here.  Interestingly, all these rare number variations are coming out of the woodwork from various sellers who seemed to be sitting on some.  #21 MAddies, #23 6up tend to be highly sought.

Exactly it. I would assume this would (maybe) get a PSA 6. It visibly has blemishes on the front and the one blemish on the back that the seller made note of. The edges also don’t look very clean. I would have been willing to pay half of what it sold for maximum, only because it seemingly doesn’t have border creases or popped perforations.

But it's well centered, shouldn't that at least guarantee a 9.  ;D

Is that a "center field 9"?    (Been dealing some craps tonight.)

Wow, that is pretty sad especially coming from a place that knows Wacky's. I have purchased from that place many times. Not sure what the heck they are doing with these?

These three are consignments, and the seller might be the one giving a suggested price?  I've seen a lot of inconsistencies in their prices on the same items in sports cards with different grades.

Ugh, what is this?  Anyone know how close to real these reprints are?  This kind of stuff is bad for the hobby as it will eventually be resold as real.  I assume these are not wax and are just easily identifiable paper stock?

This has been going on for a while in the non-sports world - there are all manner of non-sports wrappers being "reproduced" and typically sold for $7.99.  I would never buy one.

Especially when they fold it, so it looks like it came with stickers/cards.

I'd say it's real, but there's no way to be certain...at least, as far as I know.

It looks like they both bid exactly the same amount at approximately the same time 28 Jan 2024 at 1:34:11pm PST.  One must have been milliseconds earlier than the other, and in the event of a tie, the first one in wins.

I am one of the lead bidders and the lot was offered for me to buy so I bought it but what is really weird is that the action tab that I have access is linked to the other bidder.....This copy paste below is not me, I am not 3104 rated...

Ernie, you broke eBay.

Maybe that's why my completed orders from 2021 are showing up again.  I always hide them after I receive them.

LOL, I hope I did!  Once I receive this lot, I am going to see if it actually allows me to leave feedback as that other buyer.  I forgot to call out when the auction first completed, I went into the listing and it said "determining winner of the lot".  It was sometime later that it declared I won the lot "all-must-revere-ggrant, you're the winner!" so perhaps literally me and someone else placed bids as the exact same second and the same bid.....and ebay isn't programmed for it.  I wonder if the other guy was also offered the lot....I did receive an "item shipped" notification.

Early on, variations of "sniped_your_***" were in use. I thought it was funny; their victims likely did not.

greggie pooh has to update his libel of me on his website with my correct ebay address.  Now I just sit back and count the days of libel as he was already put on notice long ago.  We will finally see the first lawsuit in the wacky pack collector world.

I saw this auction and at first, I thought to myself, this idiot seller put the wrong picture for a 6th series pack and perhaps there is a  6th series display box included.  Then I looked at the auction and while my statement stands, the seller is an idiot, the intent was to sell some knock off nonsense and the seller presumed everyone knows that "wacky packages boxes" represents a set.  Then he rushes though his description again presuming everyone has any idea what he is talking about.  I guess his going through life never ever seeing something from any point of view but his own equals this, it makes perfect sense to him.....

and I guess wacky packages brand can be used by anyone for any purposes with no liability to Topps. Good to know.  I see all the auctions were ended at 3 am....night owl much.....

Just asking a question here. These people may or may not be nuts….Is a set of the posters, even with Toadal and Weakies,  worth $2,690?

Well, the 3 tough ones (Toadal, Cheapios, Weakies) are worth about $250 each? A a set of regular folded posters is, what, $1000? So this is probably $1000 too high.

I haven't followed those prices in a long time, though.

Posters are getting harder to find, but I think the demand for them is also very low these days.

It's been a while since I purchased the tough 3, but I think maybe $200 each instead of $250?  The Cheapios has a tape stain, so maybe it's worth even less.
As far as the set of 24, I think maybe $600 (around $25/poster)?  Also 22 of them have two sets of staple holes at the top - so maybe they're worth less for that?
The yellow wrapper is hard to find - maybe it's worth $100.  I'm looking for the Gold Rush gum version and would probably pay that much - but I tend to be a bargain hunter.
IFIRC, Dan tends to run a little high on his prices.
