This one's fun. This is probably the only time that you'll be able to buy a 1979 reprint sheet that comes "w/ Bum/Choke/Mess/Windhex"... but they aren't visible on the sheet.

I try not to be a stickler about grammar issues on social media, but this seller's item description requires a LONG breath before you read it. I say that we all chip in to buy this sheet so that the seller can purchase some punctuation. (end of snarky rant!)

His shipping quote is more than the sheet is worth!

George you should learn for to be more tolerating of people when they have these writing impediments cause some of them can't help it and if they do and they get things wrong then they have trouble only they're not stupid with sentences and then they think they're dumb cause they didn't pay attention in school cause some of them are needy or on drugs and other things too and you should mail them courtesy GG cards to make them happier.

Hah!!!! I read your reply out loud, and my neighbor thought I was conducting an old-timey public auction. They asked me why I didn't use any periods, and I told them that I had ordered some last month, but they were back-ordered... so hopefully, I'll get my periods this month. I get anxious when I don't get my periods on time.

I PM'd the seller, and asked them if they would post pictures of the "Bum/Choke/Mess/Windhex" stickers, because I didn't see them in the photos provided. They replied, and said they'd post them... now, we wait!

I especially love two parts:
  • That he counted them and they're all there -- most of us would just do a little math we learned in the 2nd grade of 6 x 11 = 66.  After all he was a kid in 1979, so that makes him 45?  Surely he knows his times tables.
  • The grade on them being a 10+.  I suppose he was literally giving 100%+ effort when he wrote it!

There's little question this seller is a few cards short of a set, so I wouldn't guarantee that he knows his times tables. I think the "10 +" is his shorthand for writing "10 plus": ...I have a uncut sheet set the grade on them is 10 plus I have many sheets for sell...

You should check out some of his descriptions for his other auctions.  They're just as bad, if not worse.

(And yet... and yet... he still manages to sell many items, though I don't know how.)

It's definitely not because of his prices.

One aspect of collecting Wacky Packages, is that there are always new things to learn about and collect. One such item, is the elusive Jerkens N/C. This is the first one that I've ever seen... feast your eyes on this anomaly!

Did protective sleeves, toploaders or snap cases even exist in 1974?  And even if they did, what little kid is gonna say “hey daddy, we got a real winner here.  Wait until something called the internet gets created in 20 years, and we can make a fortune selling it there.....”.  Sooooooo stupid.

I wrote to the seller the following: (they mentioned how their daughter placed these directly into protective sleeves)

I think this is one your daughter did play with. The sticker border was peeled away from upper left to lower right (notice how much thicker the black border is along the top and right side). This is why the copyright is missing...it was peeled away.

Their response:

I have a huge book filled with these stickers. They are all in great condition. Take a look at the backside of this sticker. She did not play with any of the stickers. Nothing is pilled away. Thanks for info. What you are saying must have been a printing error, and because of that is probably more valuable

The "backside" of the sticker shows corner wear, at least a little. And, now it is worth $35 from the prior price of $12! lol

The real "backside" is the one writing the response.   8)

The seller does explain, however, that he/she has "listed this at a higher price due to the fact this is an error sticker and a RARE manufacture mistake."  I might also point out that "rare" is in upper case (which obviously makes all the difference in the world.)  You can't fool this seller, Bigtomi.  They know they're sitting on a gold mine!

I asked the seller to post clearer pictures, more in focus.  Now it's obvious where the border was torn. To make matters more ridiculous, they've also upped the price to $49!  Incredible!

OMG!  "Backside" is the understatement of the year!  The seller has now jacked up the price from $12 to $179!  Oh, this poor slob is in for a real disappointment.

We, of course, know they're sitting on their "backside".

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this one obviously doesn't understand the difference between the border [being peeled away] and the sticker backing, as they explain that it is exactly the same size as the other stickers they have. What a friggin doofus! I just wanna Stooge slap them! They are not worth any more time/effort to me.

butt, butt, butt "Nothing is torn off the Jerkens Soap Sticker." They said it, so it must be true.

$179 is true delusion!

Here's a prime example of a seller who has done just enough research to find out that a 13th Series white-back is valuable... but not enough research to discern between a reprint title... and an actual "white-back" sticker. It appears that they do not have a genuine white-back, but a more common "monkey-on-their-(sticker)-back"... literally.

The "Jerkins" seller must of realized the error of their ways for they lowered their price from $179 to $139.  A substantial savings of $40!  Now it's bound to sell!  It just has to, damn it!
