Speaking of, while not a wacky, this sure is wacky.

https://www.topps.com/collectibles/trading-cards/trading-cards-by-sport/baseball-trading-cards/2016-topps-transcendent-baseball/2016-topps-transcendant-baseball-case.html?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=12-9%2012%20days%20%2B%20More&utm_term=All%20Sports%20and%20Auction

It's sold out now, so 65 people have more money than they know what to do with.

How many in this forum would be willing to pay $22,000 for a gold wacky packages 50th anniversary set?  Certainly not me.

What fascinates me is that even if someone has that much money to spend on cards, that they wouldn't rather have an assortment of beautiful PSA 9/10 vintage cards! I guess it takes all kinds.

Wait guys... this is the HTF set that includes the checklist that's missing the middle title in the 2nd column AND a borderless Cram Maggie... an opportunity like this only rolls around once or twice a day on eBay!

Does that mean his other auction for C19th Rare Tibetan Chinese Linen Thangka Of Amitabha Buddha ~ Make Offer for $3,500 is probably only worth about $50?

this seller didn't know this is a sheet of cloth puzzle pieces?

But it's blank on the puzzle side, right?

That seems to be the case.  That makes it a lot less enticing to me.  Seems like an odd item though.

Gem minty fresh like and old sock that's been worn all week. Lol

My brother and I covered our childhood closet doors in Wackys.  At some point.. .maybe when we were moving out (we lived in a mobile home back then), we had to try to peel them all up and off.  It was heartbreaking....  Seeing this makes me especially nostalgic.  What I wouldn't give for a photo of our childhood Wacky-covered doors.  :-)

If I had stuck a single sticker on a door as a kid, my father would have killed me.

I guess this seller finally decided to learn about the items he is selling and now realizes he has a cloth puzzle sheet.

The seller is a 20 year hobby veteran who knows what a cloth puzzle is. He handles a lot of items and probably just didn't notice what it was initially, or mistakenly forgot to mention it in the auction. Either way, with a blank front it's more of a production novelty to me anyway, so the cloth aspect's importance is greatly attenuated.

Very interesting perspective given that the puzzle side of cloth is not at all different from the regular issue hence a cloth puzzle piece is defined by the words on the back which is what is offered here. Sounds like he is a 20 year veteran of selling in the hobby as I can't imagine a knowledgeable collector would make such a gaffe.

Not everyone has the same radar for detail. People at card shows miss things like this all the time.
