In addition, the copyright line at the bottom of a colored sketch card specifies ‘color sketch.’

I never even noticed that. I wonder if that has to do with coloring them after the fact?

maybe it would be clearer to state 72 of each bio card in the bio card line.

The colored in "postcards" text and the copyright with the artist's name are all pre-printed on these cards.
So I'm not sure what you mean by your question?

What I mean is that an artist can't color a black and white sketch or anyone for that matter and pass it off as an original color sketch.

ahh, I see what you mean, and agree. I don't think this has happened yet, has it?, but it's a fantastic preventative measure considering the price differential between a b&w and a color sketch.

Now that you mention it, I don't think there was, and Brent Engstrom did all Speed Lick sketches in Series 5.  Perhaps Brent or Neil could confirm this so I can correct the list.

Actually I wasn't looking at your notes above until you mentioned it. I was looking over my sketches that I have acquired since release and noticed I didn't have any Taco Bill. I have 2 Engstrom Speed Licks but no Taco Bill. Just curious because I've never seen one.

Superb work. Excellent to see it all in one place so nicely organized. Kudos!  :great:

I'm crossing my fingers for either another Halloween series or a Holiday/Christmas series. Of course both would be even better.

Yeah, the Halloween ones are some of my faves.  Being a big candy fan, anytime I get to see new Wacky candy parodies is fun.

Thanks!  I saw the Peepers postcard but I didn't see the 2009 Fantastink Philly promo.  I might have missed it but I also didn't see the 2010 postcard binder "stamp sheet" either.

It might also make sense to add the years they released next to the series.  Here they are if Pat wants to add them in........

2007 series 1
2008 series 2
2009 series 3
2009 series 4
2009 Halloween sketches (these are the ones Neil did)
2010 series 5
2010 series 6
2010 Halloween series
2011 series 7

I don't know anything about Fantastink but I think you can still get the stamps with a binder purchase. I think I have 3 of the stamps so if you can't find one we might be able to work a trade.

All "year" designations added as of today (I'll add specific dates they went on sale if anyone has them).  The stamp sheet was already listed, with the binder, just below Peepers.

As for Fantastink, I don't think it belongs in the Postcard Master List, as it doesn't seem to be at all related to the Wacky Postcard series - it's a promo card produced by the Philly Show promoters showcasing Neil as an artist.

It probably doesn't but it would be nice to have it on one of the master lists for the completists.  I thought you might put it on this one because you had "Peepers" which was a Philly promo as well, no?

"ReSee's Peepers" was distributed at the Philly show, but the reverse clearly indicates that it is a promo for the Wacky Postcard series - the Wacky Postcard logo is right there.  I'll attach a scan.

I don't know that the Philly show connection makes the Fantastink card a Postcard series related Wacky.

Categorization is getting confusing.  For example, I don't consider the recent Weakies poster art promo card to go with the Wacky Postcard series'; it's a promo for Topps Vault that just happens to be postcard size, and the reverse makes no mention at all of the Wacky Postcard Series.  Along those lines, I should probably remove the 2009 Halloween sketchcards from this Postcard Master List, as they were not related to a postcard issue, and do not reference the Postcard Series on either the front or back.

Any toughts?

Your right about the Peepers.  I was thinking it made a reference to the Philly show on the back and I haven't looked at it in a while.  I just think it would be nice to have a checklist that shows ALL of them.  Maybe a new "MISC" category could be made, although it would only be 2 cards for now (Weakies postcard and Fantastink").  Actually the Oksaka would be in there too I guess.  That didn't reference ANS at all I don't believe.

I keep my own checklists and I have the postcards as a separate category, then ANS, and then a misc. category.  I have all of the Abrams bonus cards in the misc. category, as well as the Philly custom sets, and the Fantastink promo.

When you refer to "Philly custom sets", am I correct that those are the same series which Fantastick is part of (as card #52), and there's not a special Wacky subset??  I have several of those cards, but they're mostly dealer photos.  Was there another Wacky in that set?

Those Philly custom sets get very confusing.  There were the hand-outs from a Philly show that reference the actual show on the back of the card, and they have blank spaces where the personal info goes.  They are the tough ones to find.  It was promoting the custom sets.  Then John F. did a set of 14 with different characters on the backs.  Then they corrected the red which was very dark in the first sets, so they did a 2nd set with bright red.  I also show a blank-back set of 9 but I don't recall who did them.  I'd have to check my write-up on that.

Right, it DOES make a reference to the Philly Show, but to me, the Wacky Packages Postcards logo on the reverse makes it a postcard promo.  I can remove if from the list if that's what most people here think, but I really do think it belongs here - the limited distribution and association with a card show shouldn't trump the series logo.
