Fan-made Shot Wheels
« on: October 18, 2024, 05:02:59 PM »
Well, I finally got my hands on these fan-made Shot Wheels. I believe these were made before I got back into collecting Wackys. I remember reading about these years ago but don't recall the details. Does anyone know the story behind these? I love Wackys and I love Hot Wheels, so these are a prized possession for me!

Is the yellow one based on anything or just a variation?

I picked up the red one a month ago or so. Very cool item!

These were made by Duane Dimock back around 1990 or so. He advertised these in the Wrapper but I don't recall how many he produced. Im guessing it was a pretty low number.

I remember that ad!  Wish I had bought some, but money was tight at the time, and I spent what I could on Wackys.

Same here! I recall they were relatively expensive, especially for an unofficial release , but they probably cost a lot to produce. Very cool item!

There's an old thread about these:

https://www.wackypackagesforum.com/index.php?topic=2615.0

And, apparently, other 'models', like the Custom Cornvette!

The link to LostWackys that Scot provides in this old thread still works.

And here's another site with a little more information:
