Why do you think the Wonky's will command $100 each? My Sense is $40 to $60. The Variation cards from the last set were supposed to be 1/6 boxes and were $100 to start and moved to $200 later since they were NOT 1/6 boxes but more like 1/20 boxes. Wonky's are 1/2 boxes. That means they will not be THAT rare. It does not look like this set will have any cards that go for out of hand prices. Your post could influence dealers to jack their Wonky prices to start.
People listen to your opinion. Hopefully you will agree the Wonky's will NOT be $100 cards.
First, I'm flattered that you believe that my post could actually have any real influence over the pricing of Wonkys from this set. I scoff at this concept.
Second, as you sometimes tend to do, Andrew, you're interpreting what I wrote in your own way. The key phrase here is "wouldn't surprise me if", as in, given past tendencies, it might happen. No guarantees.
Third, if someone needs to spend $160 (on 2 boxes) to obtain a single Wonky, I think it reasonable that they'd want to get half their money back on it, since, as Patrick pointed out, the Wonkys are the "long pole" in this set [hardest cards to obtain]. This is how I came up with my $80-$100 per card number, to be honest.
You can certainly disagree, and truly, I hope I'm wrong for those who desire this set without having to spend a ton.
