Is the promo a postcard or a standard Wacky?

I’m thinking of possibly going, but more as a seller than a buyer.  I have some volume of original unopened GPK material I’ve been sitting on for over 25 years.  Full boxes and uncut sheets too.  I know our pursuits at shows are highly Wacky-centric, but has anyone noticed if there is significant GPK traffic at these shows?  I don’t mind going the eBay route for smaller items , but full boxes and rolled sheets are such a pain to deal with, I’d much rather sell in person if I can.  Though I would speculate that even though unopened GPK has gone up in value over the years, there still seems to be far more volume on the market compared to unopened OS Wackys.  I could see buyers being much more skittish and fickle about paying anywhere close to market value.

I plan on attending Saturday. The promo is a draw for me. Not looking for much as of late. Maybe a few 10 Again Wacky T Shirts if I can find them.  :)

It will fit in nicely with the bonus and bio cards!  My postcard collection is up to 4 binders now, one red postcard binder with series 1-8, one yellow postcard binder with series 9-current, one Halloween postcard binder with Halloween 2010-current, and a special binder with bonus cards, bio sets, etc.  The only binder with much room left is the yellow one, but I think I have two spare binders left somewhere.  Will have to start looking for them ASAP!

Topps is crazy not to make more binders, they're clearly very popular.

I've got a separate binder for promos and other odds and ends. Just reorganized it (OCD ftw!) so there's space for 2024 stuff!

Given what I've seen there over the years (and of late), I'd say you could potentially do well with any GPK material, unopened or otherwise. GPK Warehouse is usually (always?) there, along with others of the like, so you'll have competition likely, but I'd think it worth a shot. You need to register and reserve a table soon, though, I'd imagine...getting down to the wire.

I wasn’t planning on getting a table, figured I could maybe swing some quick parking lot deals by asking around in the show.  Or even sell to dealers at a modest discount.  Or is that frowned upon?  Thanks for your feedback.

Couldn't agree more!  Though at this point, I'm not sure what the binder would show as there have been so many sets since the last binder was produced.  Guess they need to make more than one :)

Nice promo card!  I won't be able to make it to Philly, but hope I can pick one up somewhere along the line.

I will be getting a able there for the first time ever.  Looking forward to setting up.  I will be looking to buy as well so bring whatever you have.  I deal mostly in Original series Wacky's but I do have some other Wacky stuff through the years.
Still looking for Series 17

Some years ago, Topps released about 8 (give or take) GPK binders. They were not specific to any release but featured some of the more popular characters on them. I would be content with something like this.

That sounds like a perfect idea!  Given how many releases, and of varying types, there have been over the years, this approach seems like the perfect one.

I had a terrific show, I actually got to sit with Bill C {Big Muc 13) at his table as an assistant dealer even though the final say was his call for anything he sold. As far as stuff I picked up for my self, I got a poster of every die-cut to the 16th series, The 2014 Political Wacky set, and both Bill and Tom P helped me out with single puzzle pieces to complete a 1st-15th run. Although not a top priority, if anyone on here has a very nice condition but reasonably priced 16th puzzle, LMK Soon. Just a heads up for the dates of the Spring Show in "25". April 5th/6th.

As far as stuff I picked up for my self, ... The 2014 Political Wacky set ...
Shoe kind of glazed over this, so I'll fill in a bit, mainly for both his and Bill's info, but for everyone's clarity...

There was a dealer next to Bill's table at Philly and it turns out he was the printer of the Topps "2015 WACKY PACKAGES COMPLETE SET OF 5X7 PARODY ART PRINTS # TO 99" sold in May of 2015. As it says in the description, these were a set of ten (10) 5x7 cards, politically aligned on voting, using OS Wackys as their base. What Bill, Shoe and I purchased from him were the same artwork (ten cards) but in a 10x14 size (4 times larger). From what I understand of his explanation, he printed these up, but Topps never sold any...or decided not to sell them...or maybe he just printed them for fun...not really sure (do either of you guys remember what he mentioned in this regard?). Anyway, that's what Shoe is referring to here...if anyone else really cares. LOL

The prints at these dimensions were sold on Topps in 2016.
There was also a limited edition 5 X 7 set that came out earlier.
IIRC, I talked with that dealer about them several years ago. The story wasn’t clear then either. Possibly it was that there was the set that was printed and sold and then another print run was requested and made but that one got shelved.

Here’s the thread on the 10 X 17 prints.

Funny you should mention these! I actually designed those GPK binders. I did a set of similar binders with classic Wacky characters, but they didn't feel we could sell enough of them. If I get a chance, I'll see if i can dig up some of the designs.

That would be great!!  Speaking of binders, I guess I will use my only spare Halloween Postcards binder for the 2024 Halloween card set  :P

I'd love to see the designs of those too, Neil, and love it even more if Topps would produce some kind of "generic" (to any set or series) Wacky binders.

What is the copyright year on the set of 10" x 14" prints you picked up? I'm curious if they are like the 5" x 7" ones that were originally printed in 2014 and then reprinted in 2015 with the copyright year pasted over. See the end of this thread for info...
