I came across an original Series 1 OPC puzzle card, and was wondering if that set was actually missing 5 of the titles? Once someone answers me, I may just delete this thread because I realize this is a silly question..... 
Yes. There's no such thing as a Series 1 OPC Band-Ache (that would have been cool), Quacker, Maddie Boy, Weakies, or Skimpy. I don't know what the lag time was, but the page I checked said "We're not sure if these came out in 1973 or 1974."
As Patrick said, the OPC's were abridged versions of the Topps sets, likely due to the C and D's.
