Thank you all for your compassion! I may be delayed some, but EVERY SINGLE SKETCH will be drawn! (although there were more requests than Topps blanks, so some will be non-Topps blanks)

I think these sketch cards have graduated to a full-blown Neurosis! The warped logic goes like this: "Every time I work on sketches, problems pop up, so if I don't draw them, problems won't come." This crazy idea has been reinforced in my addled brain by the coincidence that things have been peaceful since I last drew them. Intellectually I understand it is all hogwash, but I suddenly have a new found respect for George Wright's struggles finishing Galactic Groceries! I have most of them finished, and think I will mail out what I have simply to give myself some sense of accomplishment that will hopefully motivate me to finish the rest. I'm very sorry to put you all through this, and I'm not normally like this!

Richard, agreed! Pete’s sketches are a joy to behold. Always such fun designs and done with so much energy. Best part many of his sketches of modern Wackys are of ones he wrote so it’s (ala K-tel) an original hit by the original artist!

these are absolutely terrific! Actual sketches aligned with what I always thought sketches were meant to be.

Thank you all for the positive encouragement and your enduring patience! The final cards have been drawn and most are already in their envelopes. The final few will be packaged tonight, and all should go into the mail tomorrow! I apologize profusely for my difficulty in getting these out to you all, but I hope you enjoy the final products! Have you ever taken something apart to repair it and then once you've put it back together you have mystery parts left over? Well, I've got the cards all ready to mail, and double and triple checked my list, but I have 3 cards left that I cannot connect to any order! If you can name the three cards drawn or can forward your original request to me, I can get them on their way. Everything else gets mailed today!

This is bigly confusing.

You want all of us to send you our original correspondence to you?
Why not post the names of the wackys in the sketches to narrow it down some.
Let those people send the info for proof.

I consider myself a very stable artist, so far be it from me to bigly confuse Forum members! Let me provide a YUGE hint and tell you all that 2 of the 3 requested sketches were Prowl and Mtn Chew. If you can correctly name the third sketch, or show me the email requesting the 3, then I can get them on the way to you!

I received mine yesterday, Awful Bits based on a request for a cereal-themed one, and it was wonderful! I appreciate Pete's perseverence on these and am super happy to add this to my collection

I cannot express adequately how much all of this positive feedback means to me! Thank you all so very much! I know we each have our own unique reasons for collecting Wackys, but for me it started back in second grade, when I used to draw funny pictures in class to make the other kids laugh. Nothing gave me greater satisfaction than scribbling something silly and hearing other kids respond with laughter. That holds true today even after half a century! When I first saw Wackys I remember thinking "Wow! I wish I could do THAT!" Flash forward to the new Spring set that will soon be out, and hearing your compliments about the sketch cards means more to me than even the anticipation of seeing some more of my ideas painted up! I did 95 sketches for this new set, so good luck finding one! Thanks a bunch! - Pete

I was away on a trip when my sketches arrived, but I finally got a chance to open them and take a good look at them. Excellent job, Pete!!! I can only restate what's already been stated by others. I, as well as everyone else, are soooo gratified that you took time out of your busy schedule and life dramas to fulfill a commitment that, quite frankly, was overly generous. However, you stuck to it, we all stayed understanding and patient, and we were all rewarded handsomely.

I gave Pete a fairly free hand with mine, asking for sketches based on Wackys that were based on his concepts. They turned out amazing! Superb artwork! Just as sketch cards are advertised to be: miniature works of art.

Now that you're finally done, Pete, you may now exhale and breathe...at least when you're not working on more ideas for Wacky Packages! But whatever will you do with all your free time now?

All the generous accolades have been incredibly heartwarming! Thank you all so very much! Although it was challenging to finish the cards up, your praise is like a summer rain to parched lands. I'm certainly happy to take a break from sketch cards, but Wackys are literally a part of my daily routine. I usually draw up two new ideas every day, and sometimes more. I do have a grandson about to turn 3 that I enjoy chasing around, and it has been perfect kayaking weather here in Florida lately, so it is not all work and no play for me. I'm already working on the next promo for the Fall Philly show, and have a graveyard full of new Halloween ideas for the October Wackys set! Thanks Guys!
