Does anyone have a higher resolution version of Neil and Halsey's ad with the shopping cart kid?  I'd like to print one out to keep in the binder with my cards (when I get 'em) but the one in this thread is only 800 pixels tall.

Tom thank you but it's actually the same resolution of 558 x 800 pixels.  For ANS 2023 someone had posted a version that was twice that resolution that printed beautifully.  But I will certainly print the lower res one if a higher res version isn't available.

While there was supposedly presses at the Duryea plant, most of Topps printing during the 1960’s through the 1990’s was done by Zabel Bros. Printing in Philadelphia.The Duryea plant was where the gum was made and cards were cut and packaged. Both the Duryea plant and Zabel Bros. closed down in the 1990’s.

Thanks for the replies now, you guys! I don't want to commit to a price now. I ain't doing that until I see what they're asking on eBay. Base sets should be plentiful and in abundance. Not sure on the Attacky Pack chase cards though. I'd rather buy from a member here so you don't have to get clobbered by eBay's fees. So it's a win-win situation for us both.

I bought 5 boxes and it took me all of them to complete a base set! #40 was the most elusive for me. I made two coupon sets, though. *shrug*

I like the arrangement of cards in the packs.
4 puzzle back, hit, checklist, 4 coupon back.

Although way too many checklist cards. If they had made a 9-card puzzle, that would have been nice.

So when my measley one box arrives, it sounds like there is zero chance of completing a base set. It should NOT take 5 boxes to complete a base set…

I noticed Topps is now marking the Variation cards. Wasn't the idea that there was a subtle difference that most would miss? That was cool and fun.
Now its a "Hit" card.  The differences are still subtle; but its just a matter of taking time to spot it. They should have left it that they noted how many varies there were in the set, but we had to ferret them out.  Hopefully they can do it that way next time.

I only bought three boxes and was able to make one complete set (puzzle/ads backs). So I will have many extras for those who need some to complete your base set. I will need to trade some of my Hits cards to complete other hit sets. See you all soon in the Trade/Buy section.

Taking a look at eBay this morning looks like base sets (100 cards plus checklist) are currently going for $125.  Surprisingly sellers don’t seem to be including wrappers and or a box like Swiski wanted.  Still a fair amount to be sure but if it can take 5 boxes to build one, seems about right.

It's too early to worry about pricing on these. Not everyone received their boxes-cases yet. I'm only after the 1-50 puzzle back set.

The 1-100 set on eBay is really a set of puzzle back with coupon back variants. The checklist still shows only 50 cards in the set.
