We saw a commercial for this last night. The special effects on the attack ships, etc. reminded me alot of the machines in the last 2 Matrix movies. I will have to wait and see more before... oh, who am I kidding? Its a flick wlth aliens and explosions.... I am so there.

which itself is just an overblown clone of Well's War of the Worlds...

after watching that trailer though, I get more of a Cruise War of the Worlds feel than Independence Day. which for me is a good thing.

there were some nice hotel size ads for this out at SDCC this year which got me psyched for it.

Either way, the latest trailer shows giant monsters, so I'm there, too. Three giant monster movies coming down the pipeline at the same time: Skyline, Monsters, and The Troll Hunter (from Norway, of all places). Add to that "The Warrior's Way" (cowboys vs. ninjas), and it's a good time to be alive.
"Gamera always wins!"
