Blunder Bread items

It is not a secret that my favorite Wacky Character is Blunder Bread....or should I say obsession. I currently have a few binders (photos coming soon) on my world of Blunder, but I am still hoping to find some more odds and ends with the character of Blunder on them. It could be even be a picture, magazine ad, comic book, puzzle, etc.

If you have some rare Blunder items, sketch cards, foils, etc. of my Blunder dude send me a message or photo of said item and I will see if I can add this to my collection.

Even if you have an item that is rare that you do NOT want to part with PLEASE share it with me, along with a short story of how you score said item(s), and a photo of the item. I would love to add it to my binder of Blunder got-a-ways. With your permission I would love to include your story/item to my binder.

I also have a section in my Blunder binder of 'Spin-offs' from Blunder Bread or the product Wonder Bread. I need some items from this collection as well.

Lastly, if you some Wacky collector or artist out there has some insight on Blunder Bread's creator, please share that with me as well. It would be a cool addition to my Binder of the Genesis of my Blunder Bread. I would also love to get in touch with other Blunder Bread fans to know what you have and if I could get pictures of your collection. Maybe I can add a section in my binders for a Blunder Fan Club.

Do you have any of the wall clings from a little while back?  Here is the 2' size, with a little of the 2' Ajerx to the right.



The 12" size is nice, too.  Or, for unlicensed stuff, here is part of a tote bag:



I think you could also get a small notebook and a hardcover blank "journal type" book like the tote bag.  Does anyone here remember if Plan9 made any Blunder mugs?  I bet those would have been awesome!  Unfortunately Mark never posted a list, just pictures, and those have been lost to the ether........

I meant to comment on this at the outset, but especially after seeing the expanse of your endeavor, that it’s incredible to see the size collection that can be amassed from a single Wacky title alone, mind-boggling really.  While I can understand the labor of love involved, I think I would have a hard time singling out one title that does it for me above all others, as you have.  I’d probably struggle just to narrow down to 25 all-time favorites.

Thanks for the feedback. I too have many other favorites, but not a lot of $funds$ to create such a collection for everyone of my favs. It is truly amazing on how many items contain images of Blunder bread and how many sets have this character or something similar to it.

I still collect all other WP when possible, but Blunder will always be my favorite.

You make a good point - not every title has been so abundantly reprinted, some hardly ever at all.  Goes back to the theory that Topps has underutilized titles for which they lack high-quality scans.  Though I’m thinking that may not explain every title that’s been ignored time and time again.  For maximum iconic status, Blunder Bread is right up there with all the greats.
