The Wackys that reach consumers are just the tip of the artistic iceberg, in a manner of speaking. Topps accepts about 20% of the roughs I submit for publication. Although they've printed a little over 500 of my ideas, there are about 3,000 I've drawn! Most of those will never see the light of day! It is the same with the other artists that draw Wackys. Rarely we will get a peek behind the curtain when someone comes across a stash of drawings and posts them where everyone can check them out. I've seen scans of Jay Lynch's early stuff on Greg Grant's site, and it includes some that never became official Wackys. Worth looking at!
