I can't explain it, by I'm always drawn to the auctions from this seller

https://www.ebay.com/itm/304994165411
https://www.ebay.com/str/whozitsnwhatzitsvintagefinds

And so presumably when you win one of those auctions, you travel to Carroll, Ohio to pick up the item in person?

Their auctions seem a bit pricey. Can't imagine why you would want to keep abreast of them.   ;)

Yes, I do recall these sorts of items being priced for much less a while back, if my mammary serves me correctly.

The prices (and everything else!) are inflated.  Please now, can we let the air out and let this go?

Has anyone seen eBay's Card Condition Guidelines?

https://pages.ebay.com/cardconditions/

Here's an excerpt (I guess all of my cards are Near Mint or Better according to eBay)

Near Mint or Better
Cards in Near Mint condition are equivalent to a fresh pack. They only have slight imperfections such as 1–3 rounding or soft corners and slightly rough edges. Any damage aside from this would automatically lower the card’s condition.

there is a wide variance in the description vs what it actually would be graded.  best to make sure the pictures are good.

"Pack fresh" is what I usually say to describe brand new cards.  I don't know that I have ever sold what you would call "used" cards on ebay, but definitely, pics are a must.

Has anyone had the problem of Ebay where you receive a delivery notice, but there is nothing in your mailbox?!?

I am currently dealing with this and Ebay doesn't even give you a tracking # to help fill out a post office claim form. The number provided by Ebay isn't even a tracking number "ESUS155814143". WTF?!?!

There isn't even a way to dispute this on Ebay if it says item was delivered. I can only contact the seller and that is so far fruitless.

Any suggestions? Other than bend over and take it in the rear and say, "thank you can I have another."????

I have been on the screwed end of the deal as both a seller and a buyer.  They get you both ways, only ebay always ends up collecting their fee.

How long has it been since it says the item has been delivered? If it has been more than several days then I'd be concerned.

I've had problems with tracking in sending and receiving eBay Standard Envelopes. Sometimes they are scanned as delivered when they are not and some NEVER are scanned as delivered, yet they are.  Actually have one TODAY that says was delivered, yet it wasn't in my mailbox. When that has happened it me in the past, the item usually arrives within a day or so.

I have had that happen too, where it shows up the next day.  But, I had one go missing for a month and I had to refund the buyer, then it showed up.  And yet again, I was screwed.......

I've been lucky for far as a seller.  I've had maybe 3 standard envelopes that didn't list as delivered. The buyers didn't complain, so I assume they received their items.

I also have received emails from ebay stating that the item was delivered at such-and-such a time.  Not only was the item not in the mailbox, the mailperson had not even come for the day yet.  He/she didn't come until two hours later!  Still no ebay item, and it wasn't even scheduled to be delivered that day, according to my USPS email.  The item finally arrived a couple of days later.

Within that same week, I was supposed to get another item according to the USPS email, but the item didn't arrive.  I've also had still other items for which ebay sent an email, stating that the item had arrived when my mail truck hadn't passed through the neighborhood yet.  This inconsistency freaked me out at first, but I calmed down after the items showed up.

I don't know what tracking service ebay was using, but it was totally messed up!  I noticed that ebay never even sent an email about delivery for the last couple of items I purchased.

So, I agree that unless it's been a few days after the estimated delivery date, I wouldn't worry.....YET.

My gripes have been more against the post office recently than Ebay, though they involved Ebay transactions.
The latest is the USPS indicating in it's ebay tracking that the item arrived to the post office but not to my po box to be picked up, and for weeks!
It did land in my PO box and and I did pick it up and coincidentally, the wrong item was sent and I had thrown away the packaging, so I didn't know who it came from - I finally figured it out and was honest about it, so asked if the vendor still had the item (he was going to refund me as it showed it not delivered) - he did and will be sending it to me. I get so many items from ebay, Topps, auction houses etc., that it piles up if I'm gone for a few days.
Another item is a caveat for all sellers - over Thanksgiving the line at the post office was really long. I had a prepaid package so I left it in the bin with all of the other prepaid packages that the workers all suggest that we do with prepaid items and guess what - it NEVER got scanned and apparently never delivered, and because I didn't wait in line to get it scanned at the counter had no proof that I actually brought it to the post office to be mailed. The buyer never got it so who knows what happened to it....stolen at the post office branch? At the central sorting center? I had to refund the buyer and was out a $400 plus sale. I was in line a few months later at a different post office to get a prepaid package scanned and the postal employee told me I didn't have to waste my time in line and that my purchase of the postage was enough proof that I sent the item out!!!! He interrupted me twice when I told him that wasn't true until he listened to my reasoning then reluctantly agreed that it could be lost or stolen if just dropped off that way....sheesssh...

I am hoping I will get it today....from the looks of it, it shows it went from NY to my house in Oshkosh WI in 8 hours.

I am also hoping someone at the post office is instead of scanning the items into the post office, they are just scanning them as delivered.

I had an item show up several months later with a note attached that it was in a sorting bin that they thought was empty when they moved the Post Office to a new building.  I had already received a replacement from the seller, but I contacted him to let him know.  It wasn't a high dollar item, so he told me to just keep it.

That number is a tracking number. I looked it up and it says it was delivered on 8/3 in Bethpage, NY and should be to you by Monday, 8/7.

Is the “delivered” to an intermediate shipper? Because I see there is another tracking number referenced as “next tracking number.”

I would suspect that is the case. Using the term "delivered" is confusing/inaccurate in my view. Maybe "arrived" would be a better choice.

Aren't the tracking numbers that start with "ES" for eBay shipping.  I find many of those will say delivered when they have not been.  USPS seems to be reasonably reliable, but some times my neighbor gets them, and sometimes they show up a day later.

What really surprises me is when Amazon delivers a package to my neighbor across the street.  That's all they do, deliver packages, they of all people should be aware that the even numbered houses are on one side of the street and the odd numbered ones on the other.  I guess Amazon is happy just to find someone who wants to work these days.
