It sure was. I bought it on the Wacky Mall. Very expensive, but all NM quality. Got a bit of a discount under asking price by negotiating and offering to pay via PP F&F.

I have a good bit more disposable income these days than I did in 1973.

Dang! A NM set of 16th series! Thats way more disposable income than i have! Lucky! Although Wackys make me very happy…I spend most of my money on rent, food, transportation, etc. i actually had MORE disposable income when my parents were covering my overhead…

I've been blessed, that's for sure. :-)

You and I are pretty much the same age (I just turned 57 last week). If you are still spending most of your income on rent, food, and transportation, at the risk of going way off topic, I suggest you watch some Dave Ramsey videos. :-)

My parents are long gone, and they never covered any of my expenses post college graduation in 1988.

If you live like no one else now, later you can live and GIVE like no one else. Wish I'd heard that one 30 years ago, but everything is paid off now except my house, and I've got a 1.99% loan on it, so there's no hurry.

My wife and I sponsor a teen in Mexico, El Nino. A very worthy cause, IMO.

Be careful with binders, sone have had stickers separate when taking them in and out….they can sometimes stick to the plastic of binder pages….

Yea, good advice.

These are the binders that I am using for series 1-16:

Two of them should hold 1-16, almost exactly, with no pages left over. I now have series 1-8 in the first binder. They feature side loading pages, and I do put my Wackys in penny sleeves before loading.

As for modern, 2004+ Wackys, I just plan to load them into D-Ring binders with Ultra Pro Platinum top loading pages, and am probably not going to put them in penny sleeves beforehand.
