I understand completely, I have spent many hours reading posts on this forum. It is right here that I first learned of the Minute Mud/ Ebayer debacle. I had no Idea as I was a late comer and had found a ton of ebayers and minute muds in the 2nd series....which I thought was weird and a mistake but then just assumed that they were nothing more than leftover pieces from series 1 that they wanted to sell. That being said, I too am one of the Fools.... I spent way over $5,000 in Cash to try to complete my sets. In doing that I ended up with 4 complete sets of Series 1, 2 "complete" sets of Series 2.....minus the Gold Windhex and Sparkle Red Commie.....I did get 1 Sparkle Commie though which I thought was a unicorn when I first saw it. I really didn't know it existed at the time because I had not discovered this amazing Forum with all the Loads of info concerning the Master Lists.....Which BTW is an absolute astounding resource which I am thankful to have found, And 4 "complete" sets of Series 3 including 1 Barkist. Now I have literally thousands of duplicates which don't seem to be worth anything at all. So yes.....I was a dummy and got lured into this debacle. But at this point I would settle for even a faked Gold Windhex just so I could see it and have it in my cases up on the wall. Anyway, I still have not had any conversations about what this forum collectively thinks a Real Gold Windhex looks like. I am not here to talk about SI's bad practices and customer service. I am wanting to know with some reasonable input what this group thinks a Real Gold Windhex should look like. Maybe it's not a very good question because they are so rare that maybe nobody knows. Only reason I ask is because I am leary because some time back a man selling Gold Windhex claimed he had 2, which seems astronomically unlikely and my understanding is they were ALL gold color. Correct me if I am wrong about that.....IDK.....Thanks for your input.....maybe we might still get somewhere.....
