Update pricing on Complete 16th series
« on: November 05, 2022, 02:16:50 PM »
Hello All,

What is an updated estimated price for a Complete 16th series with puzzle (no scoot variation) All in good condition. I got an unsolicited offer and am curious if it's in the ballpark. Also what would a 16th Scoot variation go for these days. it is the last card i need to SEAL THE DEAL.

Thanks,

Bill Garvey

First off, "good" condition in the collecting world is a big red flag.  Having said that, if I were to sell my 16th set with full puzzle and wrapper in NRMT condition it would be $2500. I would not sell my Scoot N/C for under $300.  Having said that,  I am NOT looking to sell

What's the going price for a full 16th series puzzle nowadays?  I have one if anyone needs it.

One sold for $450 on the Wacky Mall.

Do you have the two variation puzzle pieces?

With series 16 generally expected to be nearmint or better since so much is from recently opened packs, the fall off in price for "good" condition for this set would be more significant than other sets assuming some level of a bell curve of grades for most sets.  You should provide some scans on what "good" means.  When you say seal the deal, your buyer wants scoot no copy before buying from you?  That seems to be an odd request.

There are two pieces (TM, MM) whose puzzle sides have no border on one side.

There are only one of each on the uncut sheet.

Ern:  are you referring to the 16th packs that were found and opened around 20 years ago, or has there been a recent find?  Jeff
