It is from original art done by Jay Lynch which was commissioned by Phil Carpenter quite some time ago. The story goes that it took Jay years to complete it for Phil. Phil sold the art at a Heritage auction in 2018. I think Greg received a digital version of it and produced a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle of it, which he gave out this past Christmas time. I have one of said puzzles. Enough info? LOL

I love my print. I think the seller was in Florida, he claimed it was his last copy. I hope Jay got paid. I dont like it when people make unauthorized reproductions and then profit 6 them…

If I might ask, was it expensive?

I purchased the "last print" too... about a year ago. I think he sells them 1 at a time.

Who is the seller?  I'll keep an eye out for his auctions.

I think I have that print.  It looks really nice framed, so I might get mine done too.

It seems like Michael's is always running a 40% or 50% off special, but they are still very expensive.  There is a local shop near me that is typically much less and has a better selection of matting, frames, etc., so I use them for my custom framing.  It's been a while, but the last uncut sheet I had done cost me about $200 with UV protected glass, etc.

Does the puzzle ever come up for sale? I would want that.

There are lots of places online where you can send a scan and get a puzzle made.  They're reasonably priced too.

Yeah, Michaels framing is kind of a ripoff…Within the last 4-5 years, both of our local art stores closed. We only have Michaels and Hobby Lobby. We are getting to the point where we have nothing but a few large chains to shop at…I cannot find my receipt, but with 40 or 50 percent off, it was still like $140….i would not have paid the full price of $250-280, especially for a $20 print.

I got the puzzle from Greg for Christmas, but I don't do jigsaw puzzles. It's still wrapped and in the box. Would you want it?

Hi @mikecho,

I have been looking for that puzzle for a while and certainly would be interested in it if available.  I almost got one from Greg but missed out.  Thanks much, Matt
