Actually, as Bigtomi said, the song title is just “Magic” as it is listed on Pilot’s 1974 album “From the Album of the Same Name” and on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 1975.

Pedantic - an insulting word used to describe someone who annoys others by correcting small errors, caring too much about minor details, or emphasizing their own expertise especially in some narrow or boring subject matter.

Thanks for telling me that; I didn't know it.

However, I also feel that you insulted me. I don't like to be insulted. An apology is definitely due here.

ELO tune? You referring to "Oh, Oh, Oh, Ozempic"? That's Pilot's "Magic".
I always thought the lyrics were "Ho, ho, ho, it's magic"

According to some sources, the songwriter David Paton said during an interview that he had a habit of staying up late at night writing and playing music, and he wouldn't wake up until late. One day he had to go some place early and he asked his wife to wake him early. She said "You've never seen a daybreak. If you ever get up early it would be magic."

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic you know
Never believe, it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning
Lazy day in bed
Music in my head
Crazy music playing in the morning light

I love my sunny day
Dream of far away
Dreaming on my pillow in the morning
Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning light

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

I'd disagree. Pedantic is you to a "tee".

Obviously, you don't know me.

And besides, didn't anyone ever tell you and cmgmd if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all?

All I said was what I saw on an old record. I was told I was wrong and I said "Thanks, I didn't know that". That doesn't require being mean and nasty.

You drew the conclusion that he was referring to you.  Maybe you're making a post hoc, ergo prompter hoc fallacy.

Neil, do you mean something like this?

Ho, ho, ho
It's Santa, you know
Always believe, it is so
It's Santa, you know
Always believe, it is so

Want to early awake
At Christmas daybreak
Looking through my stocking in the morning
No time to stay in bed
Carols in my head
Deck the Halls playing in the morning light

Snow on window panes
Dream of candy canes
Hanging near my fireplace in the morning
Never been a fool
Never missed a Yule
Sipping on eggnog in the morning light

Ho, ho, ho
He's Santa, you know
Never believe he's not so
He's Santa, you know
Never believe he's not so

Actually, grammatically, the latter sentence should be formed as follows:

"You are pedantic to a tee."

DOH!    Thank you for that correction!    In 1974, there was only one band in existence as far as I was concerned....the Beatles!!    I started to widen my horizons in middle school.     8)

Getting back on track...any news on when the NYCC exclusive set or Mars Attacky Packages will be shipping?

I'm shocked the people here with Topps connections can't throw us a bone to let us know what's going on!

The NYCC set had an absurd shipping estimate of “Ships in 28-35 business days after clock expires” vs the other sets which had “ Ships in 14-21 business days after clock expires”
So who knows, maybe by end of year? 🤪

If I had any information regarding shipping information, I'd be happy to share it with you, but unfortunately, none of the artists or writers involved with these sets have knowledge of the printers schedule(s).

Thanks, you guys! The shipping department is it's own mysterious entity there. Did they fix the missing sketches? I haven't been following the news here.

Just received a full refund from Topps on my April Monthly set. They shorted me everything except the Base Set.  Nice to see they finally did the right thing.

I received 2 sketches today and thought I'd share them since they're exceptional, I think.  The one on the left was done by Neil Camera; the one on the right was done by Floydman.  Floydman did a great job on the shading, while Camera's detail is awesome.  These "sketches" really are one-of-a-kind works of art, and not just sketches.  You can tell these artists have been spending more time on these than what it usually takes to just sketch.  And before y'all start PM'ing me about how much I want for them, I think I'm keeping these.

The way I see it, Wackys are a perfect way to celebrate the insanity of it all! Politics as well as life in general. With MAD gone now, who is left to wave the flag of mocking normalcy besides us???

Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, Seth Myers, "Tooning Out the News", etc. Albeit, heavy on the politics, but they all delve into other current topics as well.

November Wacky set is up

https://www.topps.com/2022-topps-wacky-packages-monthly-series-november.html

I wonder what these November 2022 Wacky Packages entries will spoof:
The Don
Calico Fritters
Get-Stuffed
Explosive Boxers

And I noticed in the previews Kong's Hawaiian features a line originally from original Wacky Packages Sticker Series 5 entry "Graft Cheese".

Maybe...
Get-Stuffed (Jet-Puffed marshmallows)
Calico Fritters (Calico Critters dolls)

The other 2 are on their own.
