1st Series Tan Backs vs. Wonderbread Series 2
« on: September 26, 2021, 01:35:56 PM »
As many of you know, there are two 1st Series tan backs of which are nearly (if not) identical to their Wonderbread counterparts. These two are Gadzooka and Tied. Lavirus is also present with an identical copyright, but it is one with a distinctly different kiss-cut. I normally don't support the theory about minute kiss-cut differences, but the Lavirus one is convincing in my experience.

I have read that one way to delineate is on the tan back itself. If, say, a Tied had a lighter tan back than another Tied - then the lighter back would be the authentic 1st Series tan. I am not certain as to how much merit this has, but the 1st tans that I have support this argument. I am not talking about Tied or Gadzooka specifically, but rather a Chock and Pure Hex. They both had lighter tan backs than other later series and my likely Wonderbread Gadzooka.

Does anyone know if this theory holds water, or has it been debunked?
