Not to hijack the thread, but speaking of cereal, the monster cereals are back for another Halloween lead-up.  This time around it’s their 50th anniversary, and graphics look like their earliest version.

The only retro Monster Cereal my grocery store carries is Count Chocula.

That’s surprising, for me it’s always been an all-or-none thing.  But usually just the three main ones.  I think one year Target had the Fruit Brute and Mummy types also.

Today I saw the complete lineup at my local Stop & Shop along with a 'Monster Mash' cereal.

Apparently, it's the 50th anniversary: https://hypebeast.com/2021/8/monster-mash-cereal-50th-anniversary-mockumentary-video-release-info

Yes, you're right. Frute Brute (yes, that is correct; they changed it) and Fruity Yummy Mummy were brought back once in 2013 and then vanished again in 2014. The 2013 first cereal was cherry flavored and the 2013 second one was orange cream flavored, IIRC.

If they're back again, please tell me, as I'd like to get them along with the other three if I can.

Just the three main folks, FB, CC, and BB, are back this year.  But the Monster Mash cereal has all give.  Plus there are some fruit snacks with all five on the packaging.  I got a box of 90 of those at Sam's Club, but I think a box of 28 or so may be at regular grocery stores.

I wish the monster cereals would taste like they did 50 years ago...they are terrible now.

The switch from oat flour to wheat flour did it :(

My local Wal Mart (the one that doesn't stock Wacky Minis) has the Monster Mash cereal and the fruit snacks. Knowing that the cereal doesn't taste the same, I can't bring myself to purchase it...

I ordered that online, and it had free shipping. It was just $4.99 plus tax, and it was delivered today.

Cool! I used to eat all three of those cereals when I was a kid. Loved the marshmallows!

Thanks! I got all four of them before they were all gone. In fact, I just had a bowl of Franken Berry this morning. Nothing like the classics!

My brother and sister-in-law in GA, however, really stocked up on them just in case COVID-19 does something else to the country and were nice enough to give me at least three of them for up there. I hope they're still fresh by December, though.
