Admittedly trying to get people talking about Wackys. What was the best wacky acquisition that you ever ALMOST made? I guess that technically makes it the worst deal you ever made.....

My "Blunders" are too embarrassing to post (and most widely known).  But it will be interesting to see what gets posted here, as these happened frequently especially before eBay and high prices changed the landscape forever.

I had I believe a good chance on a box of OPC Wacky Packages this past weekend for $25, there was only 1 bid. However I fell asleep 30 minutes before it ended and forgot to add an alarm. I missed the auction. 🤦‍♂️

Just a couple days ago got outbid on the nicest graded Series 6 Clammy I’d ever seen. By three dollars.

Luckily for me, the auction ended at 11 pm and I wake up at 4:45 for work. So, I can’t act nocturnal for a trading card auction particularly.

Still pissed about that one though, don’t think I’ll ever see a clammy as nice again.

You might have missed by even more.  It looks like the winning bidder put in another bid with six seconds left, so who knows how high that one was.  I always rationalize to myself that someone wanted to pay more for it than I did.

My top bid on the card was $110, so it was $3. I put the bud in earlier in the day, because I wasn’t able to stay up that late. I did not expect the bid to go up that high, or else I would have went higher. It was the perfect example of that card in my eyes. The Baby Runt border wasn’t showing, but all of the white border on Clammy was also there. I honestly bet that’s the only graded copy like that. I do not plan on buying any of the ones with the Baby Runt border.
