Those are nice, thanks for sharing!  I was expecting the sketches to be of Wonky titles, but I guess not.

Thanks, we were given the option, to do Wacky Ads or Wonkys. I went with both.

So, to have a prayer at achieving a full set, you need to buy 4 packs (to possibly get a sketch [1:4] and all four 4 panel cards)?

Are these more akin to cards, like the original, die-cut Wacky Ads, or stickers?

I'm guessing that the sketch will replace one of the 4-panel cards, so it would take five to get them all,  but the collation will probably give you duplicates.  So it looks like once again there will be a boatload of base sets floating around in case anyone misses the online sale.

Geez, I didn't consider that the sketch would replace a combo.  Crap.

They're printed on card stock like the originals and include the perfs.

Sounds great.  I'm surprised that Topps didn't have short perfs and long perfs.

with the Monthly sets and the last Attacky Packages set, the sketch was in addition to the cards in the pack, and did not replace a card.
but then, in earlier Attacks sets, the sketch did replace a Crudlow.
Time will tell, but hope it's the former, as an addition.

On a completely unrelated note...

After working on these Wonky Ads, I have a whole new appreciation for Tom Sutton's work on the original ads, especially when it comes to the character design! I think most people tend to prefer Norm Saunders style, which I can appreciate since he was such an amazing painter. But Sutton had some real chops as an illustrator and I think we sometimes forget that iconic characters such as Ajerx and Hurtz Tomatoes are actually his creations. No doubt, Norm took them to a whole new level, but I think a lot of the second series titles would've had a completely different flavor had it not been for Sutton. Anyway, just wanted to give props to one of the Wacky founding fathers!

So these are punch out cards, not stickers? Are they a larger, postcard size? How does one store them? If a non-rich guy such as myself wanted to buy one or two packs, is there any chance of getting a full base set? Or am i better off going for your people’s leftovers???

That's correct, they're punch out cards. The size is identical to the original wacky ads. Postcard sized storage pages can be easily be found on Amazon. From the online description, you'll be able to get a complete base if you buy one set  (includes the 7 main cards, a multi-ad card and a checklist title card in a souvenir envelop). Keep in mind,  there are 4 different multi-ad cards, so you may want to get an extra set to trade with. Just a suggestion...

Please don't give them any ideas!!   >(

I love that the perfs are real.  Maybe I'll pop a set out - I had fun making my borderless Old School sets  ;D

Do you know if Sutton actually came up with the gags too, or did he work like Saunders from original gag roughs by Lynch & Spiegelman, etc?  Would be really cool to find out if Sutton ever did any of the non-Saunders 1-16 Wackys.  Like discovering Saunders' "Snoot" from the 85's, etc.  (Haven't been on here for a bunch of months, so it looks like I missed A LOT of news... didn't even know there were brand new Wacky Ads out there).

I'd also be curious to know if Sutton did anything beyond the ads. Honestly, I doubt it, since his style is very unique and I don't see any obvious examples in 1-16.

My guess is that he probably had help with the Wacky ad concepts, but that's just based on what we know about the other series. That would've been a great question to ask Jay...
