I had an amazing time this weekend, was fun to hang out with Greg G, Matt S, Bill C, Joe L, Marc S, David D, Brian L, Tom P. Had pizza and soda at Greg's apt Sat. night and chatted about our favorite cards. I bought a lot of original 1-16 checklists and a nice size lot of the Mini ones. For those of you who couldn't attend, you were missed and talked about quite often throughout the day yesterday. For the spring show, the dates will be the 21st/22nd of May at the Greater Philly Expo Center. I have a promo pack for the 1st collector that sends me a PM. (No Wacky one inside, and no reply on here). Hope to see you all in "22". Shoe.

Good write-up shoe.  I went to my first show in over 10 years. I like the new place.  It was plenty big and there were a ton of vendors there.  Many of them had Wacky's.  I got a pretty nice haul.  One dealer had stacks of Wacky's organized by series all for a buck each, so I was able to fill in a lot of holes.  I got a few Luds at a pretty solid price, and got a 16th for $10.  I did some trading and sold a bunch of checklists to Shoe.  All in all a great show and well worth it.  Next time I will have to make time to stick around and hang out at Greg's if he has a gathering again next time.
Still looking for Series 17

Ate there no other stories or boasts about the show?

Maybe pics of how big the dealer's room was?  I assume it is bigger that the Allentown venue.

There was a gun show happening in one (or more?) of the other halls, so the parking lot was PACKED! I had to park a ways from the entrance. The hall was somewhat bigger than Allentown's, I wouldn't say twice the size, but close to that. Definitely more room to roam and not bump into tables or other folks. You could buy food in the hall and the restroom was convenient (in the hall), unlike Allentown.

I didn't find much for myself, but I did pick up a few Wonky Ad variations. Sold a stack of OS stickers to Darryl Swigart and helped Greg find a Wonky Ad var he needed. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more new OS material after two years...but I'm generally not that good at hunting. Talked with Smokin' Joe and Dave Gross (I asked him about the replica 1985 box being used for OLDS 10 packaging; he thanked me for reminding him about that. He'll mention to Topps again, hopefully they'll go for it). Hung out a lot with Matt Stock and Greg and David Duddy (hadn't seen him in 16 years!). Met our own cmgmd and saw vahsurfer (Richard), as well.

Overall, a good show...just nice to get away from home and do something different for a day!  :)

Had a fun time at the show. Was great to meet so many collectors, as for forum members, met 2 who are big supporters of my work, Quas (Marc) and vahsurfer (Richard).

Wasn't really able to take many pics...here's a video someone posted on Youtube.

Thanks for posting the video!

Still looks fairly intimate, like Allentown but more room to walk around.

Cool video but it almost makes me a little seasick.  The guy must have been using a go-pro or something similar hanging from his neck.

Was George Wright present? I haven't talked to him in a long time, just curious how he's been.

Probably keeping a low profile since he owes a lot of us our Galactic Groceries. LOL!

George plays a long wacky game.  He will resurface with vigor and great humor at some point.  :)

For me, the video preview window was viewable when it was first posted. I didn't watch it then. I've come back to this thread a few times over the last couple of days to watch it but it is no longer visible for me (on my HP laptop). I only see blank space. We must be in a parallel universe.

The video was so long, that I only watched bits and pieces of it.  While I appreciate the details of showing each dealer's table, were there any really good shots of the entire room to get a feel for how many dealers were there?
