Last year there was the extra "Thank You" title card in December.  I honestly thought they would throw us a Joker this month.

That Thank You card was actually in place of the Wonky/Guest Artist card. Nothing extra that week last year.

The background on this card reminds me of Paul's backgrounds for the Wacky Packages Gallery book.  I had so many heated discussions about those backgrounds, which I lost obviously (so I should have, since I was only a contributor).  Probably why I haven't heard from him in 15 years.  Sorry Paul!  Your backgrounds are awesome!  Hope you're doing well out there, man!

That is disgusting! I really hate it when people who should know better seemingly can't tell the difference between the plural of "it" ("its") and the contraction of "it is" ("it's").

People on the Internet can call me a grammar Nazi all they want, but this one never ceases to make me sick. Who proofreads things like this, monkeys?

Does anyone else here collect playing cards? I just started getting into a few unique decks here and there. Theory 11 makes some really cool decks for Star Wars, Avengers, Harry Potter, etc. I also researched online and there are thousands of really cool artsy decks out there now. The fancy printing or unique illustration artwork is what grabs me!

With me collecting both Wacky Packages and playing cards, it would seem natural for me to get the Wacky Packages playing cards from these monthly sets. But with my budget and all the other things I collect, I only have a complete set of the monthly base cards.

So do you think at some point Topps will produce a complete playing card deck with a fancy tuck case, sold only on the Topps site? I can picture something where they use the same artwork from the monthly cards on deluxe playing card stock, with rounded corners, and some fancy element added like foil accents. Maybe they can partner with Bicycle or Theory 11 to make it happen.

We have asked, and hopefully Topps will oblige!  The only extra artwork they would need is for a Joker or two (Ajerx is perfect!), and if they wanted a different back.

The only interesting playing card decks I have are an old Green Hornet deck and a round deck from the U.S. Capitol, presumably sold in a gift shop there.

I just wanted to make a general statement about this year’s monthly Wacky Packages. I had some time today to slowly look at my binder with all of the Wackys from January through November and most of the gags are very funny and the art work is absolutely spectacular. I can’t wait to get the December set to complete the year. Thank you to all the artists and Topps for this year. If you haven’t taken the time to read them, you should.

I also collect dinosaur cards. I really enjoy seeing how the current thought of what they looked like has changed over the years. Anyway, I have about 6 or so different decks or Dino playing cards spanning about a 70 year span. Throw in another 7 rummy type decks. Some of these have great artwork.

I wouldn't say I collect decks, but I own about 30. A few from Theory 11. This is one of my favorites - released by Gamblers Warehouse in Texas. I've never seen a deck that makes such a cool pattern when fanned!  https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lJbgGbJUL._AC_SL1342_.jpg

I have a couple of sleeve pages of different jokers pinned to my wall. Quite a variety, sometimes a deck from a dollar store has a more interesting joker than an expensive deck.  Until now I haven't connected my interest in joker art to Wacky Packages.

I'm glad to hear you've asked, Pat.  It is such a wonderful idea and it seems like such an absolute win-win.  And the same idea could be used for GPKs and other sets, so with minimal effort, Topps could sell a ton, it seems.  I'd certainly buy at least two (one for display and one to use).

What is taking so long for the Wacky Packages December 2021 set to be shipped out? I want to see what the "Colassal Wreck" Wacky Packages December 2021 sticker is like so I can find out if it spoofs the Jurassic World Colassal Rex toy!
