There are stories that Walmart stopped stocking the trading card section as of last week. Just no signs.

Wow! I just googled this, and can't believe some of what I read. I gave a mint Charizard to my ex-boyfriend's nephew as a birthday present back in 1999 or 2000. Took me weeks to find it for him. Now it's a $300,000 card?!?

I hope he still has it (preferably still in the top loader)!

I heard a news story on the radio about someone who pulled a gun on another guy at Target the other day here in Milwaukee. Before they mentioned why, I thought trading cards. Sure enough! I hope all Targets stop carrying these types of cards. It's affecting my toy collecting there. They limit now what collectors can buy.

I hadn't heard about the problems either. Most of the Targets (and even Walmarts) here don't have much
of a trading card display, and if they have a tiny section, it's in shambles. The one Target that I've been
lucky enough to find some of the mini-Wackys, it's on a small aisle just near the music section, go figure.

I don't know the price; next time I go over there, I'll find out for you. Other than that, the only other place that would probably have them would be a comic book store.

I bought 9-card sheets from Target a few years ago, and I will never again. They are super thin and flimsy compared to the ones I get from my comic book shop.

I've been buying the 9-pocket card protectors from Amazon for years now. I'm pretty sure they're the same as I bought from Target before because I initially searched for the same brand. About $10 for 70 pages. Here's the link if interested:

Perhaps Topps' association with Super Impulse has left them weak to the Dark Side influence of false claims and misrepresentative advertising.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I thought ViewBlaster was special when I drew it, too. Some of the classic Wackys are so iconic, that trying to reinterpret the product is daunting, but I felt this design was a worthy successor! - Pete
